1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Tomons KA01001-BK XL 3.5L Air Fryer. This appliance uses rapid hot air circulation technology to cook your favorite foods with little to no oil, offering a healthier alternative to traditional frying. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

This air fryer features an intuitive LED touch panel, precise temperature control, a convenient timer, and 6 preset cooking functions to simplify your cooking experience.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and stickers from the air fryer.
  2. Cleaning: Wash the cooking basket and any removable accessories with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before use.
  3. Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, horizontal, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of free space on the back and sides of the appliance, and 10 cm (4 inches) above it. Do not place it against a wall or other appliances.
  4. Pre-heating (Optional): For the first use, it is recommended to run the air fryer for about 10 minutes at 180°C (350°F) without any food inside to eliminate any manufacturing odors. A slight smell or smoke may occur, which is normal.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

  1. Prepare Food: Place your ingredients into the cooking basket. Do not overfill the basket.
  2. Insert Basket: Slide the cooking basket back into the air fryer until it clicks into place.
  3. Power On: Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet. The LED display will light up.
  4. Set Temperature and Time:
    • Manual Setting: Use the temperature and timer controls on the LED touch panel to adjust the desired cooking temperature (e.g., 180°C) and time (e.g., 25 minutes).
    • Preset Functions: Select one of the 6 available presets (Steak, Seafood, Shrimp, French Fries, Cake, Other) by tapping the corresponding icon on the touch panel. The air fryer will automatically set the optimal temperature and time for that food type.
  5. Start Cooking: Press the start button to begin the cooking process.
  6. Shaking/Turning Food: For even cooking, especially for items like fries or chicken wings, pull out the basket halfway through the cooking time and shake or turn the food. Then, slide the basket back in. The air fryer will resume cooking automatically.
  7. Completion: The air fryer will beep when the cooking time is complete. Carefully pull out the basket and transfer the cooked food to a plate.
