1. Product Overview

2. General Safety Information

3. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all components are present and the chainsaw is properly assembled.

Battery Installation and Charging:

1. Insert the V20* 2.0Ah Lithium Ion Battery into the battery port on the chainsaw until it clicks into place.
2. To charge the battery, connect the charger to a standard power outlet and insert the battery into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
3. Ensure the battery is fully charged before initial use for optimal performance.

Chain Tensioning and Oiling:

1. Chain Tensioning: The chainsaw features bolt lock chain tensioning for consistent bar clamping. Refer to the diagram for the tensioning mechanism. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled around by hand.
2. Adding Chain Oil: Locate the auto-oiling reservoir cap. Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with appropriate bar and chain oil. Do not overfill. Ensure the cap is securely tightened after filling. The auto-oiling system provides continuous lubrication during operation.

4. Operating Instructions

Always ensure the work area is clear and you are wearing appropriate safety gear before operating the chainsaw.

Starting the Chainsaw:

1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely inserted.
2. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands, ensuring a secure grip.
3. Engage the safety lock-off button (if present) and then depress the trigger switch to start the motor.

Cutting Techniques:

• Always begin a cut with the saw chain running at full speed.
• Allow the saw to cut for you; do not force it through the wood.
• Be aware of kickback. Avoid the tip of the guide bar contacting any object.
• For cutting branches, support the branch to prevent pinching the saw chain.
• The 10-inch bar and chain are designed for cuts up to 8 inches in diameter. For larger diameters, make multiple cuts or consider a larger tool.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw.

After Each Use:

• Clean the Chainsaw: Remove sawdust, chips, and debris from the motor housing, guide bar, and chain. Use a brush or compressed air.
• Check Chain Tension: Verify the chain tension is correct. Adjust if necessary.
• Inspect Chain and Bar: Check for dullness, damage, or wear on the saw chain and guide bar.
• Empty Oil Reservoir: It is recommended to empty the chain oil reservoir after each use to prevent leaks during storage.

Periodic Maintenance:

• Chain Sharpening: A dull chain will not cut efficiently and can cause kickback. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary.
• Guide Bar Maintenance: Clean the guide bar groove and oil holes. Flip the guide bar periodically to ensure even wear.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods.
