5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your VnioLife Ionic Foot Bath Detox Machine:
- Place the foot bath basin on a flat, stable surface.
- Insert a disposable liner into the foot bath basin. This helps maintain hygiene and simplifies cleaning.
- Fill the basin with warm water, ensuring it covers the feet up to the ankles. Do not overfill.
- Add a small amount of non-iodized salt (e.g., sea salt or Himalayan salt) to the water. Approximately 1/2 teaspoon is a common starting point, but adjust based on desired conductivity. Stir to dissolve.
- Place the detox array into the water, ensuring it is fully submerged.
- Connect the array cable to the 'ARRAY' port on the control unit.
- Connect the power adapter to the 'DC INPUT' port on the control unit, then plug the adapter into a standard AC 110V power outlet.
- Carefully place your feet into the water.

6. Operating Instructions
Once the setup is complete, you can begin a session:
- Press the ON/OFF button on the control unit to start the device. The LED indicators will illuminate.
- The device is programmed for an automatic 30-minute session. The timer cannot be adjusted during operation.
- During the session, the detox array will initiate an electrolysis process, which causes the water to change color. This color change is a result of the interaction between the array, the water, and any dissolved salts or minerals.
- After 30 minutes, the device will automatically shut off.
- Carefully remove your feet from the basin.
- Press the ON/OFF button again to ensure the unit is completely off, then unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet.
Understanding Water Color Changes
The device operates on the principle of electrolysis, a chemical reaction that breaks down water into oxygen and hydrogen. These gases are attracted by the metal array parts, leading to an oxidation reaction. The final color of the water is a combination of this oxidation reaction and any substances present in the water. It is important to note that the water color will change even if feet are not present in the water, due to the interaction between the array and the water itself.

7. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your device:
- After Each Use: Dispose of the used liner and water.
- Cleaning the Basin: Wipe the foot bath basin with a damp cloth and mild soap, then rinse thoroughly. Ensure no water enters the control unit.
- Cleaning the Array: The detox array should be cleaned after each use. Rinse it under running water to remove any residue. For stubborn buildup, a soft brush can be used. Ensure the array is completely dry before storage.
- Storage: Store the device and its components in the provided zipper carrying bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your VnioLife Ionic Foot Bath Detox Machine, refer to the following common concerns:
- Device does not power on:
- Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the control unit and a working wall outlet.
- Check if the wall outlet is functional by plugging in another appliance.
- Water changes color but feet are not in the basin:
- This is normal. The water color change is primarily due to the electrolysis process between the detox array, the water, and any dissolved minerals or salts. It is not solely indicative of substances being drawn from the body.
- No water color change:
- Ensure the detox array is fully submerged in water.
- Verify that a sufficient amount of salt has been added to the water to increase conductivity.
- Check that the array cable is securely connected to the control unit.
- Inspect the detox array for visible damage or excessive buildup that might impede its function.
