Setup and Charging

  1. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the battery pack. Use a compatible LP-E5 or LP-E17 charger (not included with this battery pack) to charge the battery. Refer to your charger's instruction manual for specific charging procedures.
  2. Battery Installation:
    • Ensure your camera is turned off.
    • Open the battery compartment cover on your camera.
    • Insert the LP E5 battery pack into the compartment, aligning the contacts correctly. The battery should click into place.
    • Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating the Battery Pack

Once installed and charged, the LP E5 battery pack powers your compatible Canon EOS digital camera. A fully charged 1600mAh battery can provide power for approximately 600 shots, depending on camera usage, settings, and environmental conditions.

Monitor your camera's battery indicator to determine the remaining charge. It is recommended to carry a fully charged spare battery for extended shooting sessions.

Maintenance and Safety

Troubleshooting

  • Battery Not Charging:

  • Camera Not Powering On:
