4. Setup

The GD24X2CS36 features tool-free chain tensioning for convenience.

  1. Ensure batteries are removed and the chain brake is engaged.
  2. Remove the side cover by loosening the knob.
  3. Place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction.
  4. Fit the guide bar onto the mounting studs.
  5. Replace the side cover and lightly tighten the knob.
  6. Adjust chain tension using the tensioning ring. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand. No tools are required for this adjustment.
  7. Fully tighten the side cover knob to secure the bar and chain.

4.3 Filling the Automatic Oiler

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Chainsaw

  1. Ensure the chain brake is disengaged (pulled back towards the front handle).
