2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The HCDZ Replacement Remote Control requires 2 AA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or press the latch to open it.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
