Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your Vango Soul 300 camping tent. The Vango Soul 300 is a 3-person tunnel tent designed for stability and ease of use, suitable for various outdoor adventures. Please read this manual thoroughly before attempting to set up or use the tent.
Safety Information
- Fire Safety: The tent fabrics are fire retardant and meet European safety standard EN5912. However, always keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent fabric. Do not cook inside the tent.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation to minimize condensation and prevent suffocation. Utilize the inner door and external air vents.
- Pitching: Select a level site free from sharp objects. Securely peg down all guylines to ensure stability, especially in windy conditions.
- Weather Conditions: While designed for wind and rain resistance, extreme weather can damage the tent. Seek appropriate shelter during severe storms.

Setup Instructions
The Vango Soul 300 tent is designed for quick pitching, typically in under 7 minutes. Follow these steps for assembly:
- Unpack: Lay out the tent bag and carefully remove the flysheet, inner tent, poles, and pegs.
- Position: Choose a flat, clear area for pitching. Lay the flysheet flat on the ground.
- Assemble Poles: Connect the sections of the Vango PowerFlex fiberglass poles.
- Insert Poles: Slide the poles through the sleeves on the flysheet. The tent has 3 poles.
- Erect Tent: Insert the ends of the poles into the eyelets or pin-and-ring system at the base of the flysheet. Carefully lift the tent, allowing it to take shape.
- Peg Down: Secure the corners of the flysheet with pegs. Then, peg out all guylines, ensuring they are taut to provide maximum stability.
- Attach Inner Tent: The inner tent is pre-attached. If detached, clip the inner tent to the designated attachment points inside the flysheet. Ensure the inner tent is taut but not stretched.
- Final Adjustments: Adjust guylines and pegs as needed to ensure the tent is stable and the flysheet is evenly tensioned.

Figure 1: Vango Soul 300 Tent Dimensions and Layout. This diagram illustrates the tent's overall dimensions, including a length of 285 cm, a maximum width of 190 cm at the entrance, and a width of 180 cm at the rear. The peak height is 120 cm at the front and 115 cm at the rear. The sleeping area (bedroom) is approximately 230 cm long. The legend indicates mesh doors, entrance doors, internal doors, and pole positions. All measurements are in centimeters.
Operating the Tent
- Ventilation: The inner tent door and external air vents are designed to control airflow and reduce condensation. Keep them open as appropriate for conditions.
- Lantern Hanging Points: Conveniently located in the living and sleeping areas for illumination.
- Internal Pockets: Use the internal pockets to organize and store small essential items.
- Darkened Interior: The inner tent material helps reduce early morning light in the bedroom area, promoting better sleep.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the tent using a soft brush and lukewarm water. Do not use detergents or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the waterproof coating. Hand wash only.
- Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mildew and fabric degradation.
- Storage: Store the tent in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Pole Care: Inspect poles for damage before and after each use. Replace any damaged sections promptly.
Troubleshooting
- Condensation: Condensation is a natural occurrence. To minimize it, ensure proper ventilation by keeping vents open and avoiding cooking inside the tent.
- Water Leakage: If water leakage occurs, check for proper pitching, taut guylines, and any damage to the flysheet. Ensure all zippers are fully closed. The tent is tested to 3000 mm HH waterproof rating.
- Wind Stability: In strong winds, ensure all guylines are securely pegged and tensioned. The tunnel design offers good stability, but proper pitching is crucial.
