4. Setup and Assembly

- Assemble Corner Posts: Construct the four main corner posts according to the diagrams.
- Position Posts: Place the assembled corner posts in their desired locations on the ground.
- Assemble Top Frame and Crossbars: Assemble the top frame and the two center crossbars. Pre-insert screws where indicated to facilitate attachment to the corner posts.
- Attach Top Frame: With assistance, carefully lift the assembled top frame and position it onto the four corner posts. Secure the top frame to the posts using the pre-inserted screws.
- Install Canopy Rails: Attach the canopy rails to the top frame.
- Install Canopy Fabric: Slide the canopy fabric into the designated slots on the rails. Ensure the fabric is correctly oriented.
- Secure to Ground: Utilize the openable feet at the base of each post to insert ground stakes, firmly anchoring the pergola to the ground for increased stability.

5. Operating the Retractable Canopy
The pergola features a retractable canopy designed for adjustable shade. The canopy is divided into two pieces, allowing for flexible positioning.
- Adjusting Shade: The canopy pieces can be moved up and down independently or connected to move together.
