4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up the AST605 Electric Brake Fluid Bleeder:
- Prepare the Brake Fluid: Open a new bottle of brake fluid. Connect the suction hose from the AST605 unit into the new brake fluid bottle.
- Empty Air from Equipment: Before connecting to the vehicle, ensure there is no air in the equipment. Turn on the unit, press the 'START' button, and allow any air to be purged from the system.
- Access Brake Fluid Reservoir: Unscrew the cap of the vehicle's brake fluid reservoir.

- Connect Adapter: Securely connect the selected adapter to the vehicle's brake fluid reservoir. Then, connect the filling hose from the AST605 unit to this adapter.
- Lift Vehicle: If necessary, lift the vehicle using a suitable lift to access the brake calipers and bleed screws.
- Connect Recovery Bottle: Connect the fluid recovery bottle hose to the bleed screw of the wheel cylinder you intend to bleed first.

5. Operating Instructions
Once the setup is complete, proceed with the brake fluid exchange:
- Power On: Turn on the AST605 unit using the ON/OFF switch.
- Adjust Pressure: Use the pressure adjustment knob to set the desired operating pressure. The pressure range is typically 0.7-2.5 Bar.

- Start Exchange: Press the 'START' button to begin the automatic brake fluid exchange process. The unit will pump new fluid into the reservoir while simultaneously drawing old fluid into the recovery bottle.
- Monitor Process: Observe the fluid flowing into the recovery bottle. Continue the process until clean, new brake fluid is visible, indicating that all old fluid has been replaced.
- Complete Exchange: Once the exchange is complete, turn off the AST605 unit.
- Disconnect: Disconnect the recovery bottle hose from the wheel cylinder, then remove the adapter from the brake fluid reservoir. Securely replace the brake fluid reservoir cap.
- Lower Vehicle: Carefully lower the vehicle from the lift.
