5. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Placement: Place the binding machine on a stable, flat surface.
- Power Connection: Plug the power adapter into the machine and then into a suitable electrical outlet. The electric coil inserter requires power.
- Initial Cleaning (Lubrication Removal): Before first use, punch several sheets of oil-absorbing paper (or scrap paper) at least 6 times to remove any residual lubricant from the punching blades. This ensures clean punches for your documents.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Adjusting Paper Settings
- Set Paper Sizing Guide: Adjust the paper sizing guide to match your document size (Letter, A4, A5). This ensures symmetrical paper output.
- Adjust Margin: Use the 3 Gears Paper Margin Adjustment knob to set the desired margin depth (2.5mm, 4.5mm, or 6.5mm).
- Use Disengaging Pins: For non-standard paper sizes or to avoid half-punched holes, pull out the disengaging pins corresponding to the areas where holes are not desired.

6.2. Punching Documents
- Insert up to 20 sheets of 80g paper (or 2 PVC covers) into the paper inlet, aligning them against the paper sizing guide.

6.3. Binding Documents with Electric Coil Inserter
- Gather your punched pages and covers.
- Take a spiral coil (up to 2" diameter can be inserted by hand, up to ¾" using the electric inserter).
- Start threading the coil through the first few holes of your document manually.
- Press the Rubber Roller Rotary Switch to activate the electric coil inserter.
- Gently guide the partially inserted coil against the rotating rubber roller. The roller will automatically feed the coil through the remaining holes.
- Once the coil is fully inserted, release the Rubber Roller Rotary Switch.
- Use the provided coil crimper pliers to cut and crimp both ends of the coil. This prevents the coil from unraveling.

7. Maintenance
- Waste Bin: Regularly empty the Drawer Type Scrap Box to prevent accumulation of paper scraps, which can affect machine performance.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Lubrication: The machine is pre-lubricated. If you notice increased resistance during punching over time, consult TIANSE customer support for guidance on appropriate lubrication.
8. Troubleshooting
- Half-punched holes: Ensure the disengaging pins are correctly set for your paper size. Adjust the paper sizing guide to ensure proper alignment.
- Difficulty punching: Do not exceed the maximum punching capacity. Reduce the number of sheets per punch. Ensure the punch handle is pulled down firmly and completely.
- Coil not inserting smoothly: Ensure the electric coil inserter is turned on. Check that the coil is correctly aligned with the punched holes and the rubber roller.
- Machine not powering on: Check the power adapter connection and the electrical outlet.
