4.1 Input Channel Controls

5. Setup and Connections
Before powering on the mixer, ensure all connections are made correctly.
5.1 Power Connection
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input on the rear of the mixer.
- Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet (100V-240V AC).
5.2 Input Connections
The DA8 mixer supports various input sources:

5.3 Output Connections
- Main Output: Connect the L MAIN OUT R (XLR or 1/4" jacks) to your main speakers or amplifier.
- Control Room Output: Use the CTRL ROOM OUT (1/4" jacks) for connecting to studio monitors.
- Headphones: Plug your headphones into the PHONES jack for monitoring.
- Effect Send/Return: Connect external effects processors using the SEND and RETURN jacks.
- Tape In/Out: Use the TAPE IN/OUT RCA jacks for connecting recording devices or external playback sources.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Mixing
- Power On: After all connections are made, turn on the mixer using the power switch.
- Gain Adjustment: For each input channel, adjust the GAIN knob to achieve an optimal input level. The Peak Signal Indicator (PEAK LED) should flash only occasionally.
- Equalization (EQ): Use the HF (High Frequency), MF (Medium Frequency), and LF (Low Frequency) knobs to shape the tone of each channel.
- Auxiliary Send (AUX): Adjust the AUX knob to send a portion of the channel's signal to the auxiliary output for external effects or monitor mixes.
- Effects (FX): Adjust the FX knob to send a portion of the channel's signal to the internal effects processor.
- Pan (PAN): Adjust the PAN knob to position the channel's sound within the stereo field (left to right).
- Channel Volume: Use the channel VOLUME FADER to control the individual volume of each input.
- Main Output Volume: Adjust the L MAIN R faders to control the overall output volume.
6.2 Bluetooth Operation
- Press the MODE button on the MP3 player section until "Bluetooth" is displayed.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), search for available devices and select "Depusheng DA8" (or similar name).
- Once paired, you can stream audio wirelessly to the mixer. Use the MP3 player controls (play/pause, skip) or your device's controls to manage playback.

6.3 USB MP3 Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB socket.
- The mixer will automatically detect and begin playing the audio files.
- Use the controls on the MP3 player section to play, pause, skip tracks, or change modes (e.g., repeat).

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your mixer.
