3. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to correctly set up your pressure washer before first use.
- Attach Water Filter: Screw the water filter onto the water inlet connection of the pressure washer.
- Connect Garden Hose: Connect your garden hose (not included) to the water filter using the garden connector. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection.
- Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the high-pressure hose to the water outlet on the pressure washer and the other end to the spray gun. Tighten securely.
- Attach Nozzle: Select the desired nozzle (adjustable or rotary) and attach it to the end of the spray gun.
- Electrical Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch on the unit is in the "OFF" position before plugging in.
- Water Supply: Turn on the water supply fully. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges. This primes the pump.
4. Operating Instructions
Once assembled, you can begin using your pressure washer for cleaning tasks.
- Starting the Unit: Turn the power switch to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
- Using the Spray Gun: Point the spray gun at the surface to be cleaned, keeping a safe distance. Squeeze the trigger to start the high-pressure spray. Release the trigger to stop the spray.
- Adjustable Spray Nozzle: Rotate the nozzle head to adjust the spray pattern from a concentrated jet to a wide fan spray.
- Rotary Nozzle: This nozzle provides a rotating jet for powerful cleaning of stubborn dirt and grime, ideal for hard surfaces like concrete.
- Detergent Application:
- Fill the detergent dispenser with an appropriate pressure washer detergent.
- Attach the detergent dispenser to the spray gun.
- Operate the pressure washer at low pressure (usually achieved by using a wide spray setting or a specific detergent nozzle if provided) to apply detergent.
- Allow the detergent to soak for a few minutes (refer to detergent instructions), then rinse thoroughly with high-pressure water.
- Shutting Down:
- Turn off the power switch.
- Turn off the water supply.
- Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to release any remaining pressure in the system.
- Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Storage: Drain all water from the pump, hoses, and spray gun before storing, especially in freezing temperatures. Store the unit in a dry, protected area.
