2. Safety Information
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:
- Installation must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with all applicable local codes and standards.

- Always disconnect power to the range hood at the circuit breaker or fuse box before servicing or cleaning.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boil-overs cause smoking and greasy spill-overs that may ignite.
- Clean grease filters frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
- Use only metal ductwork for ducted installations.

5. Installation
The HisoHu PA02-30 range hood can be installed as either a ducted (vented to the outside) or ductless (recirculating with carbon filters) system. Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. It is recommended to have a qualified professional perform the installation.
5.1 Ducted vs. Ductless Conversion
The range hood is designed for both ducted and ductless configurations. For ducted operation, the exhaust air is vented outside through a duct system. For ductless operation, air is filtered through carbon filters (included) and recirculated back into the kitchen. Ensure the appropriate setup is chosen during installation.

5.2 Mounting Dimensions
Refer to the diagram below for recommended mounting heights and dimensions. The hood height above the cooking surface should be between 24 and 32 inches for optimal performance and safety.

5.3 General Installation Steps (Summary)

6. Operating Instructions
The HisoHu PA02-30 offers multiple ways to control its functions: touch panel, gesture sensing, and remote control.
6.1 Power On/Off
- Touch Control: Press the power button on the control panel.
- Gesture Control: Wave your hand across the gesture sensor from left to right to turn on, or right to left to turn off.
- Remote Control: Press the power button on the remote.
6.2 Fan Speed Adjustment
The range hood has 4 fan speeds to suit various cooking needs.
- Touch Control: Press the '+' or '-' buttons on the control panel to increase or decrease fan speed.
- Gesture Control: Wave your hand from left to right to increase speed, or right to left to decrease speed.

6.4 Delay Shutdown
The delay shutdown feature allows the hood to continue operating for a set period (1-15 minutes) after cooking, ensuring all residual odors are cleared. Activate this function via the touch panel or remote control.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your range hood.
7.1 Cleaning Aluminum Filters
The aluminum grease filters should be cleaned regularly (every 3-6 months, depending on usage) to prevent grease buildup and maintain airflow efficiency.
- Remove the filters by pulling the latch and lowering them.
- Clean filters in a dishwasher or by hand using hot water and a non-abrasive detergent.
- Ensure filters are completely dry before reinstalling.
7.2 Replacing Carbon Filters (Ductless Models Only)
For ductless installations, carbon filters absorb odors and should be replaced every 3-6 months, or more frequently with heavy use.
- Disconnect power to the range hood.
- Remove the aluminum grease filters.
- Twist and remove the old carbon filters.
- Install new carbon filters by twisting them into place.
- Reinstall the aluminum grease filters and restore power.
7.3 Exterior Cleaning
Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that can scratch the surface.
