7.3. Calibration (Fine-Tuning Correction)
The meter supports one-point fine-tuning correction. Refer to the specific calibration solution instructions (not included) for precise calibration steps. Typically, this involves:
- Prepare a standard calibration solution (e.g., 1.413 mS/cm EC solution).
- Turn on the meter and immerse the probe into the calibration solution.
- Allow the reading to stabilize.
- Use the provided screwdriver to adjust the calibration screw (usually located near the battery compartment or on the side of the meter) until the display matches the known value of the calibration solution.
- Rinse the probe with distilled water after calibration.
8. Maintenance
- Probe Cleaning: Always rinse the probe thoroughly with distilled water after each use to prevent residue buildup, which can affect accuracy.
- Storage: Store the meter and probe in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or the meter fails to power on. Ensure to use 4 x 1.5V AG13 button batteries.
- Regular Calibration: Calibrate the meter regularly, especially if readings appear inconsistent or after prolonged periods of non-use, to maintain accuracy.
