3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your shower column. Please follow these steps carefully.

1. Purge Water Lines: Before assembly, thoroughly purge the hot and cold water pipes. This prevents dirt and debris from compromising the proper functioning of the faucet.
2. Shut Off Water Supply: Close the main water supply valve to your home.
3. Remove Old Faucet: If replacing an existing unit, carefully dismantle the old faucet.
4. Clean Threads: Thoroughly clean the threads of the main water supply pipes.
5. Mount Mixer: Install the thermostatic mixer, ensuring the 150mm center distance is maintained. Use the provided eccentric connectors and end caps.
6. Install Column: Mount the shower column tube securely to the wall. Adjust the extendable tube to your desired height (820-1220 mm).
7. Connect Hoses: Connect the 60 cm connection hose to the mixer and the column. Attach the 150 cm flexible hose to the hand shower and the mixer.
8. Check for Leaks: Slowly open the main water supply and check all connections for leaks.

Your Essebagno thermostatic shower column is designed for ease of use and consistent water temperature.

• Temperature Control: Use the thermostatic mixer handle to set your desired water temperature. The anti-scald safety feature is set at 38 °C, requiring a button press to exceed this temperature for safety.
• Flow Control and Diverter: The open/close handle also integrates the diverter. Turn the handle to control water flow and rotate it to switch between the overhead shower and the hand shower.
• Hand Shower: The rectangular hand shower provides a single jet for focused rinsing.
• Overhead Shower: The large 30x30 cm square shower head provides a wide, even spray.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your Essebagno shower column.

• Daily Cleaning: To maintain your shower column for as long as possible, clean it daily with a damp, non-abrasive cloth or microfiber. Finish by drying it with a microfiber or dry cloth.
• Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Never use solvents, metallic sponges, bleach, acids, strong detergents, aggressive chemicals, or solvent-based cleaning solutions on the product.
• Recommended Cleaners: For maintenance, we recommend using black soap, dish soap, or shower gel.
• Anti-Limescale Nozzles: The shower head and hand shower are equipped with anti-limescale nozzles. Regularly rub these nozzles to dislodge any limescale buildup and maintain optimal spray performance.

If you encounter issues with your Essebagno shower column, consider the following common solutions:

• No Hot Water / Inconsistent Temperature:
  • Ensure your water heater (electric accumulator) is functioning correctly.
  • Verify that the shower column is not connected to an instantaneous hot water heater, as it is incompatible.
  • Check if the hot water supply valve is fully open.
  • If the temperature safety button is engaged, release it to allow temperatures above 38 °C.
• Low Water Flow:
  • Check if the main water supply is fully open.
  • Inspect the anti-limescale nozzles on the shower head and hand shower for blockages and clean them.
  • Ensure the water lines were properly purged during installation to remove debris.
• Leaks:
  • Tighten all connections, but do not overtighten.
  • Inspect seals and O-rings for damage and replace if necessary.
