4. Setup

4.1. Professional Installation

Free installation is provided by a company installer. To schedule your installation, please register your product and call the support line at 18005727911. Professional installation ensures correct setup and optimal performance of your smart door lock.

4.2. Battery Installation

1. Remove the back cover of the interior unit.
2. Insert four (4) AA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the back cover securely.

4.3. Initial Setup and Admin Registration

After battery installation, the lock will power on. Follow the voice prompts to register the first user, who will be designated as the administrator. The administrator can then add or remove other users and manage lock settings.

1. Press the Registration Button located on the back panel.
2. Follow the voice guidance to register your fingerprint, PIN code, or RFID card as the administrator.
3. Confirm the registration when prompted.

5. Operating the Lock

5.1. Fingerprint Access

To unlock using your registered fingerprint:

1. Place your registered finger firmly on the fingerprint scanner.
2. The lock will verify your fingerprint and unlock.

5.2. PIN Code Access

To unlock using a PIN code:

1. Touch the touchscreen keypad to activate it.
2. Enter your registered PIN code followed by the '#' key.
3. The lock will verify the PIN and unlock.

Note: The lock supports setting up time-bound or one-time guest codes for temporary access.

5.3. RFID Card Access

To unlock using an RFID card:

1. Hold your registered RFID card against the RFID reader area on the front panel.
2. The lock will read the card and unlock.

5.4. Mechanical Key Access

In case of emergency or battery failure, the mechanical key can be used:

1. Insert the mechanical key into the keyhole located on the front panel.
2. Turn the key to unlock the door.

5.5. Locking the Door

The lock will automatically engage after a short period once the door is closed. You can also manually lock the door from the inside using the internal locking mechanism or from the outside by lifting the handle (if configured for manual locking).

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

When the batteries are low, the lock will provide a low battery warning via voice guidance. Replace all four (4) AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Use high-quality alkaline batteries for best performance.

6.2. Cleaning

Clean the lock's exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. Regularly wipe the fingerprint scanner and touchscreen to ensure optimal performance.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Alarm Indicators

The lock is equipped with an alarm system that activates under specific conditions:

• Incorrect Access Attempts: If an incorrect fingerprint, PIN, or RFID card is entered three or more times consecutively, the lock will sound a warning and disable authentication access for 3 minutes.
• Forced Entry/Tampering: If someone attempts to open or break the door with force, the alarm will sound.

During an alarm state, the lock will remain secured. Wait for the alarm period to end before attempting access again with a valid method.

7.2. Battery Exhausted

If the batteries are completely depleted and the lock does not respond, you can use an external 5V portable power source (e.g., a power bank) with a USB port to temporarily power the lock. Connect the power source to the emergency power USB port on the front panel, then use your preferred access type (fingerprint, PIN, or RFID card) to unlock the door. Replace the internal AA batteries immediately after gaining access.

7.3. Lock Not Responding

• Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
• Ensure the touchscreen is clean and free from obstructions.
• If the issue persists, try using the mechanical key for access and contact customer support.
