5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the monitor.
2. Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2. Cuff Connection

• Locate the air socket on the side of the monitor.
• Firmly insert the air tube connector from the cuff into the air socket until it clicks into place.

6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for an accurate blood pressure measurement:

1. Preparation: Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
2. Cuff Placement: Spread the armband and wear it on your upper arm. Ensure the air tube is positioned correctly.
3. Positioning: Place the cuff approximately two fingers' width (2-3 cm or 1 inch) above your elbow joint. The arrow on the cuff should align with the center of your inner arm.
4. Start Measurement: Press the "START/STOP" button. The cuff will automatically inflate, and the measurement will begin. Remain still and do not talk during the measurement.
5. Reading Display: Once the measurement is complete (approximately 30 seconds), your systolic pressure (SYS), diastolic pressure (DIA), and pulse rate (PUL) will be displayed on the screen.

7. Memory Function

The Urion Blood Pressure Monitor supports two users (User 1 and User 2) and stores up to 500 readings for each user.

• Switching Users: Use the dedicated user switch button (often labeled with two person icons) to select between User 1 and User 2 before taking a measurement.
• Viewing Memory: Press the "MEM" button to review past readings. Each press will cycle through the stored measurements from most recent to oldest.
