- Consult a Physician: Before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions, consult with a medical professional.
- Proper Assembly: Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and tightened according to the instructions. Do not use the bike if it is not fully assembled or appears damaged.
- Stable Surface: Place the exercise bike on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate clear space around the bike (at least 0.6 meters or 2 feet) for safe operation and movement.
- User Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum user weight of 150 kg (330 lbs).
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the exercise bike during operation. This equipment is not a toy.
- Proper Attire: Wear appropriate athletic clothing and footwear. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands, feet, and other body parts clear of all moving components, especially the flywheel and pedals, during operation.
- Emergency Stop: Familiarize yourself with the emergency stop mechanism (resistance knob) to quickly stop the flywheel if needed.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the bike for wear and tear. Do not use if any parts are worn or damaged. Perform maintenance as described in this manual.

3. Package Contents
Before beginning assembly, verify that all components are present and undamaged. The package should contain:
- Sportstech SX500 Main Frame and Components

- Assembly Tools
- eBook (digital download information)
If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact Sportstech customer support immediately.
4. Assembly and Setup
The Sportstech SX500 is designed for straightforward assembly. It is highly recommended to have two people for assembly due to the weight of the components, particularly the main frame and flywheel.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, flat surface. Keep all packaging materials until assembly is complete in case of return.
- Stabilizer Bars: Attach the front and rear stabilizer bars to the main frame using the provided bolts and tools. Ensure they are securely tightened. The standing feet on the stabilizer bars can be adjusted to balance the bike on uneven floors.
- Pedals: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Attach them to the crank arms. Note that the left pedal typically tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal clockwise. Ensure they are fully tightened to prevent stripping.
- Seat Post and Seat: Insert the seat post into the main frame and secure it at your desired height using the quick-release lever. Attach the comfortable sport seat to the seat post. The seat can be adjusted for height, tilt, and horizontally for optimal riding posture.
- Handlebar Post and Handlebar: Insert the handlebar post into the main frame and secure it. Attach the handlebar to the post. The handlebar is also adjustable for height to accommodate different user preferences and training positions. Ensure the padded armrests are correctly oriented.
- Console Installation: Connect the console cables to the corresponding ports on the handlebar post. Mount the multifunctional console securely onto the designated bracket on the handlebar.
- Final Check: Before first use, double-check all bolts, nuts, and quick-release levers to ensure they are securely fastened. Test the stability of the bike by gently rocking it.
The bike features transport wheels at the front stabilizer bar. To move the bike, simply tilt it forward onto the wheels and roll it to the desired location. Always ensure the bike is stable before use.

5. Operating Instructions
The Sportstech SX500 is equipped with an intuitive console and adjustable features to customize your workout.
5.1 Console Functions

The multifunctional console provides real-time feedback on your workout. Refer to Figure 5.1 for button and display layout.
- Display: Shows various metrics including Time, Speed, RPM (Revolutions Per Minute), Distance, Calories burned, and Pulse.
- Start/Stop Button: Initiates or pauses your workout tracking.
- Mode Button: Cycles through different display modes or selects training programs.
- Reset Button: Clears current workout data.
- Pulse Measurement: Place your hands on the pulse sensors located on the handlebars for heart rate measurement. The console is also compatible with a pulse belt (not included) for continuous heart rate monitoring.
- Tablet Mount: A dedicated mount is available above the console to securely hold your tablet or smartphone for app integration.
5.2 Resistance Adjustment
The SX500 features a step-free resistance adjustment knob, typically located on the frame below the handlebars. Turn the knob clockwise to increase resistance and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Push the knob down firmly to engage the emergency brake and stop the flywheel immediately.
5.3 App Compatibility
Enhance your training experience by connecting your device to the SX500 via compatible fitness apps such as Kinomap and iConsole+. These apps offer interactive training routes, coaching, and multiplayer modes. Follow the instructions within the respective apps for connection and usage.

5.4 Adjusting Seat and Handlebar
For optimal comfort and performance, adjust the seat and handlebar to your body dimensions:
- Seat Height: Loosen the quick-release lever on the seat post, adjust the seat to a height where your leg has a slight bend at the knee when the pedal is at its lowest point. Secure the lever.
- Seat Position (Horizontal/Tilt): Adjust the seat forward or backward, and its tilt, to find a comfortable position relative to the handlebars.
- Handlebar Height: Loosen the quick-release lever on the handlebar post, adjust the handlebar to a comfortable height that allows for a relaxed upper body posture, or a more aggressive aero position using the padded armrests. Secure the lever.
6. Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Sportstech SX500.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the bike after each use with a damp cloth to remove sweat and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose fasteners.
- Belt Drive: The low-noise belt drive system is designed to be nearly maintenance-free. No lubrication is typically required.
- Pedals: Ensure pedals are securely attached and spin freely.
- Stability: Check the floor-balancing feet regularly and adjust if the bike feels unstable.
- Storage: Store the bike in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
