Operating Instructions

Once installed and activated, your DenicMic Solar Post Lights operate automatically. The integrated solar panel charges the internal battery during daylight hours. At dusk, the light sensor will detect the decrease in ambient light and automatically turn on the LED. The light will remain on for approximately 10 hours, providing 25 lumens for the first 6 hours and then dimming to 10 lumens for the remaining 4 hours (6-4 Smart Circuit) to conserve power.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your solar post lights:

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
  • Battery Replacement: The built-in 600mAh 3.2V AA battery is replaceable. If the light duration significantly decreases, the battery may need replacement. Refer to the product design for access to the battery compartment, typically under the solar panel.
  • Inspection: Regularly check for any loose screws or damage to the unit. Tighten screws as needed.

Troubleshooting

If your solar post light is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • Light not turning on at night:
    • Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
    • Verify the solar panel receives adequate direct sunlight (4-6 hours) during the day. Relocate if necessary.
    • Check if the solar panel is dirty or obstructed. Clean it thoroughly.
    • The battery may be depleted or at the end of its lifespan. Consider replacing the battery.
  • Light is dim or short-lived:
    • Insufficient sunlight for charging. Ensure optimal placement.
    • Solar panel may be dirty. Clean it.
    • Battery capacity may be reduced. Replace the battery.
