4. Setup and Installation

The MASKO Air Hose Reel is designed for wall mounting. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the weight of the unit and the forces applied during use.

Installation Steps:

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, preferably near your air compressor, ensuring sufficient clearance for the 180° swivel function.
2. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the wall bracket against the desired mounting surface and mark the drilling points.
3. Drill Holes: Drill holes of appropriate size and depth for the included mounting anchors.
4. Insert Anchors: Insert the wall anchors into the drilled holes.
5. Mount Bracket: Secure the wall bracket using the provided screws.
6. Attach Hose Reel: Slide the hose reel onto the mounted bracket. Ensure it is securely seated.
7. Connect Air Supply: Connect the inlet hose of the reel to your air compressor's output using a 1/4" connection. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.

5. Operating Instructions

Extending the Hose:

• Gently pull the hose out to the desired length.
• You will hear a clicking sound as the hose locks into place.
• To lock the hose, pull it out slightly further until it clicks and holds.

Retracting the Hose:

• To retract the hose, pull it out gently again until the locking mechanism disengages.
• Slowly guide the hose back into the reel. Do not release it abruptly, as this can cause damage or injury.

Adjusting Hose Brake:

The hose brake (stopper ball) can be adjusted to control the length of the hose that remains outside the reel when fully retracted. Loosen the screw on the stopper ball, slide it to the desired position, and tighten the screw.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your MASKO Air Hose Reel.

• Cleaning: Wipe the casing and hose with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic or hose material.
• Hose Inspection: Periodically inspect the entire length of the hose for cuts, abrasions, or kinks. Replace the hose if significant damage is found.
• Connection Check: Ensure all air connections are tight and free of leaks. Apply thread sealant if necessary.
• Lubrication: The internal mechanism is generally maintenance-free. However, if retraction becomes stiff, a small amount of silicone spray can be applied to the hose as it enters the reel.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the hose reel in a clean, dry environment within the recommended operating temperature range.
