2. Important Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not operate the vacuum cleaner in wet environments.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Use only as described in this manual.
  • Do not allow children to play with the vacuum cleaner.
  • Unplug the charging dock when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not use with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.
  • Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  • Do not use without dust bin and/or filters in place.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.
  • Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.

Charging Dock

The charging dock provides power to recharge the robot vacuum.

  • Power Indicator: Shows charging status.

4. Setup and Installation

Preparing the Charging Dock

  1. Place the charging dock on a hard, level surface against a wall.
  2. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on either side of the dock and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of it.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the charging dock and plug the other end into a wall outlet.
  4. Ensure the power indicator on the charging dock illuminates.

Installing Side Brushes

Press the side brushes onto the square posts at the bottom of the robot until they click into place.

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the robot vacuum. You can place the robot directly onto the charging dock, aligning its charging contacts with those on the dock. The power button on the robot will pulse during charging and turn solid when fully charged.

Connecting to Wi-Fi (Optional)

For advanced features and app control, connect your OKP K7 to your home Wi-Fi network.

  1. Download the "OKP Life" app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Register an account and log in.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your device. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

5. Operating Your Robot Vacuum

Starting/Pausing Cleaning

  • Manual Start: Press the power button on the robot once.
  • App Start: Use the "OKP Life" app to initiate cleaning.
  • Remote Control: Use the provided remote control (if included) to start cleaning.
  • To pause cleaning, press the power button again or use the app/remote.

Cleaning Modes

The OKP K7 offers various cleaning modes to suit different needs.

  • Auto Cleaning: The robot intelligently navigates and cleans your home.
  • Spot Cleaning: Focuses on a specific dirty area.
  • Edge Cleaning: Cleans along walls and furniture edges.
  • Zig-zag Cleaning: Cleans in a systematic back-and-forth pattern.

Returning to Charging Dock

The robot will automatically return to the charging dock when its battery is low or when cleaning is complete. You can also send it back manually via the app or remote control.

6. Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

Emptying the Dust Bin

Empty the dust bin after each use or when the "Dust Bin Full" indicator (if available) illuminates.

  1. Press the dust bin release button.
  2. Pull out the dust bin.
  3. Open the dust bin cover and empty its contents into a trash can.

Cleaning Filters

Clean the filters weekly. Replace them every 2-3 months, depending on usage.

  1. Remove the dust bin.
  2. Take out the pre-filter and HEPA filter.
  3. Tap the filters gently to remove dust. Do not wash HEPA filters with water.
  4. Rinse the pre-filter with water if necessary and let it air dry completely before reinserting.

Cleaning Side Brushes

Check side brushes regularly for tangled hair or debris. Remove and clean them as needed.

  1. Gently pull the side brushes off their posts.
  2. Remove any hair or debris.
  3. Reinstall the brushes, ensuring they click into place.

Cleaning Main Brush

Clean the main brush weekly.

  1. Flip the robot over.
  2. Remove the main brush cover by pressing the release tabs.
  3. Lift out the main brush.
  4. Use the provided cleaning tool to remove hair and debris.
  5. Reinstall the main brush and cover.

Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the drop sensors and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging dock with a clean, dry cloth monthly.

7. Troubleshooting
