3. Setup and Assembly
Before first use, or after cleaning, assemble the filter components as follows:
- Insert Cotton Filter: Place a cotton filter into the designated slot within the cartridge cover base.
- Attach Cartridge Cover: Secure the cartridge cover base onto the activated charcoal filter cartridge.
- Attach Filter Assembly to Mask: Align the assembled filter cartridge with the connection port on the side of the mask. Turn the cartridge 90 degrees clockwise until it clicks securely into place.
- Verify Security: Ensure both filter assemblies are properly closed and firmly attached to the mask body.

Adjusting the Head Harness:
The respirator features an adjustable 5-point head harness. Loosen all straps before putting on the mask. Once the mask is on your face, tighten the straps evenly, starting from the bottom straps, then the middle, and finally the top, until a comfortable yet secure seal is achieved. Do not overtighten.
4. Operating Instructions
Wearing the Respirator:
- Ensure filters are correctly installed.
- Hold the mask with one hand and pull the head harness over your head with the other.
- Position the mask firmly on your face, ensuring your chin is properly seated in the chin cup.
- Pull the head harness straps to adjust for a snug, comfortable fit. Ensure no hair is caught under the seal.
- Perform a seal check.

Performing a Seal Check:
A proper seal is critical for effective protection. Perform a positive and negative pressure seal check every time you don the the respirator.
- Positive Pressure Seal Check: Place the palm of your hand over the exhalation valve cover and gently exhale. The mask should bulge slightly, and no air should leak from the edges of the mask.
- Negative Pressure Seal Check: Place the palms of your hands over the filter cartridges (or inhalation valve covers if applicable) and gently inhale. The mask should pull inward towards your face, and no air should leak from the edges of the mask.
If you detect any leakage during either check, readjust the mask and straps, then repeat the seal check. If a proper seal cannot be achieved, do not enter the contaminated area.
Intended Use:
This respirator is suitable for environments where protection against organic vapors, certain chemicals, dust, and particulates is required. This includes applications in agriculture, construction, mining, welding, painting, and woodworking. The built-in voice amplification diaphragm aids in clearer communication without removing the mask.
5. Maintenance and Storage
Cleaning the Mask:
After each use, clean the mask body (excluding filters) with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely in a clean, non-contaminated area away from direct sunlight. Do not use harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Filter Replacement:
Filter cartridges and cotton filters must be replaced regularly. The frequency of replacement depends on the concentration of contaminants, breathing rate, humidity, and other environmental factors. Replace filters immediately if you detect any odor or taste of contaminants, or if breathing becomes difficult.
- The date printed on the filter package is the manufactured date. Filters have a shelf life of 3 years from this date.
- Replacement filters (ASIN: B08P2TQ387) are readily available.

Storage:
Store the respirator in a clean, dry, and cool place away from direct sunlight, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Keep it in a sealed bag or container to prevent contamination and prolong filter life.
6. Troubleshooting
- Difficulty Breathing:
- Check if filters are clogged or past their service life. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure inhalation and exhalation valves are clean and not obstructed.
- Detection of Odor/Taste:
- Indicates filter breakthrough. Immediately leave the contaminated area and replace both filter cartridges.
- Perform a seal check to ensure proper fit.
- Air Leakage Around Face Seal:
- Readjust head harness straps for a tighter, more even fit.
- Ensure no hair or clothing is interfering with the seal.
- Verify the mask size is appropriate for your face.
- Fogging of Lens:
- The mask features an anti-fog lens. Ensure the mask is properly sealed to allow the airflow valve to function effectively.
- Clean the lens with a soft cloth and anti-fog solution if persistent.
