Installation Instructions

Tools Required (Not Included):

• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Flathead Screwdriver
• Wire Strippers
• Electrical Tape
• Ladder

Step-by-Step Installation:

1. Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the circuit at the main fuse box or circuit breaker is completely off.
2. Prepare Mounting: Attach the mounting plate to the junction box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
3. Adjust Hanging Height: Determine the desired hanging height for your pendant. The fixture includes adjustable rods to achieve various lengths.

4. Wire Connections:
   • Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (usually bare copper or green) using a wire nut.
   • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Ensure all wire connections are secure and wrap them with electrical tape for added safety.
5. Mount Fixture: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the fixture canopy with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws.
6. Install Light Bulbs: Insert four (4) light bulbs into the sockets. Do not exceed the maximum wattage of 100 watts per bulb. LED light source type is compatible.
7. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions

Once installed and power is restored, your ML Lighting 8144-MB pendant light is ready for use.

• Power On/Off: Operate the light using a standard wall switch connected to the fixture's circuit.
• Dimming: This fixture is compatible with standard wall dimmers. Ensure you use dimmable light bulbs if you intend to use a dimmer switch.
