Featuring 60 high-brightness LEDs across 4 pods, these lights offer multi-color options, app and RF remote control, music synchronization, and a durable waterproof design. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure proper use and longevity of your product.

4. Safety Information

• Ensure the vehicle's power is off before beginning installation to prevent electrical shock or damage.
• Always connect the red wire to the positive (+) terminal and the black wire to the negative (-) terminal of a 12V DC power source. Incorrect wiring can damage the product or vehicle.
• The brake warning function requires connecting the blue wire to the vehicle's brake light system. If not connected, this feature will not function.
• Secure all wiring to prevent entanglement with moving parts or exposure to excessive heat. Use provided zip ties.
• The product is IP68 waterproof, but ensure all connections are sealed and protected from direct water spray or submersion during high-pressure washing.
• Do not modify the product or its components. Unauthorized modifications may void the warranty and pose safety risks.

5. Installation

5.1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools: drill, screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, and cleaning supplies.
• Choose desired mounting locations for each rock light pod. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry.
• Plan the wiring path to the vehicle's 12V power source (battery or ACC circuit) and, if desired, the brake light system.

5.2. Wiring Connection

The wiring harness includes three main wires:

• Red Wire: Connect to the vehicle's positive (+) 12V DC power source (e.g., battery positive terminal or ACC circuit).
• Black Wire: Connect to the vehicle's negative (-) terminal or a chassis ground point.
• Blue Wire: (Optional) Connect to the vehicle's brake light positive wire to enable the brake warning function (all lights turn red when brakes are applied). If this feature is not desired, insulate the blue wire securely.

Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.

5.3. Mounting the Light Pods

1. Position each light pod in the desired location.
2. Mark the screw holes.
3. Drill pilot holes if necessary, then secure each pod using the provided screws.
4. Route the wires from each pod to the central control box, ensuring they are tucked away and secured with zip ties to avoid damage from heat, moving parts, or road debris.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. APP Control

The YiLaie RGB LED Rock Lights can be controlled via a smartphone app named 'HappyLighting'.

1. Download the App: Scan the QR code provided in the user manual or on the control box to download the 'HappyLighting' app. The app is compatible with iOS 7/Android 4.3 or above.
2. Enable Bluetooth: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
3. Connect to Device: Open the 'HappyLighting' app. It should automatically detect and connect to the rock light control box. If not, navigate to 'My Device' and select the device.
4. Control Functions:
   • Color Selection: Use the color wheel or preset color options to choose any desired color.
   • Brightness Adjustment: Adjust the brightness slider to your preference.
   • Music Mode: Select the music mode to synchronize the lights with the rhythm of your music.
   • Dynamic Modes: Choose from various dynamic lighting effects such as flash, strobe, fade, or smooth transitions.

6.2. RF Remote Control

The included 4-key RF remote controller provides quick access to essential functions:

• On/Off Button: Turns the lights on or off.
• Color Change Button: Cycles through various preset colors.
• Mode Change Button: Cycles through dynamic lighting modes (flash, strobe, fade, smooth).
• Speed/Brightness Adjustment: Adjusts the speed of dynamic modes or the brightness of static colors.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the light pods with a soft cloth and mild detergent to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Ensure the pods are securely mounted.
• Water Protection: While waterproof, avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the control box or wiring connections during vehicle washing.

8. Troubleshooting

• Lights Not Turning On:
  • Check all power connections (red to positive, black to negative).
  • Verify the fuse in the wiring harness is intact. Replace if blown.
  • Ensure the vehicle's power source is active (e.g., ignition on for ACC circuit).
• App Not Connecting:
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  • Restart the 'HappyLighting' app.
  • Ensure the rock lights are powered on.
  • If multiple devices are present, try connecting manually through the app's device list.
• Incorrect Colors or Modes:
  • If lights are stuck on red, check the blue brake wire connection. If it's receiving constant power, it will override other colors. Disconnect or correctly wire it to the brake light signal.
  • Ensure the remote control battery is functional.
  • Try resetting the control box by disconnecting and reconnecting power.
