Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
The AVR feature protects connected equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss, and performance problems caused by brownouts and overvoltages. The SMART1000RMX2UN maintains a regulated 120V nominal output during input voltage fluctuations from 80V to 151V, ensuring stable power delivery without depleting battery charge.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The VRLA battery modules are field-replaceable and hot-swappable, allowing for battery replacement without shutting down connected equipment. The replacement battery part number is 744-A3296. Refer to the specific battery replacement guide for detailed steps.
Extended Battery Modules
For applications requiring longer runtime, up to four optional extended battery modules (BP48VRM2U) can be connected to the UPS. Consult the documentation for the extended battery modules for installation and connection instructions.
Cooling Fans
The UPS is equipped with front and rear cooling fans to prevent overheating. Ensure that the fan vents are not obstructed to maintain proper airflow and cooling efficiency.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your UPS, consult the front-panel LCD for status messages and alarm indicators. Many common issues can be identified and resolved by reviewing the displayed information. For persistent problems, ensure all connections are secure and that the input power source is stable.
If the UPS indicates an active alarm (red LED), refer to the LCD for specific error codes or messages. For complex issues or internal faults, contact technical support.
