1.3 Personal Safety

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and long sleeves, to protect against hot glue.
  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
  • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.

1.4 Hot Glue Gun Specific Safety

  • The nozzle and melted glue become very hot. Avoid direct contact with skin to prevent burns.
  • Do not touch the hot nozzle or melted glue. If contact occurs, immediately cool the affected area with cold water.
  • Never point the hot glue gun at yourself or others.
  • Use only glue sticks recommended for this tool (11mm diameter).
