1. Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended household use.

3. Setup and First Use
Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and place the machine on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for ventilation and access to the water tank and bean hopper.
Water Tank Filling
- Remove the 2.8L water tank from the back of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold, filtered water up to the MAX line.
- Replace the water tank securely into its position.
Bean Hopper Setup
- Ensure the bean hopper is clean and dry.
- Pour fresh, whole coffee beans into the hopper.
- Place the hopper lid securely.
Initial Rinse Cycle
Before first use, it is recommended to run a rinse cycle to clean the internal components.
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place a large container under the group head and steam wand.
- Press the power button to turn on the machine.
- Once the machine is heated (indicator light solid), press the 2-cup button to run water through the group head.
- Turn the steam dial to the steam position to purge water through the steam wand.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the water tank is nearly empty.
- Refill the water tank.
4. Operating Instructions
Grinding Coffee Beans (Tap & Go Grinder)
The integrated Tap & Go grinder provides freshly ground coffee on demand with 30 adjustable grind settings for optimal flavor.

- Select your desired grind setting using the dial on the bean hopper. Finer settings are for faster extraction, coarser for slower.
- Insert the portafilter into the grinding cradle.
- Press the portafilter against the 'Tap & Go' button to activate the grinder. Release when the desired amount of ground coffee is dispensed.
- Tamp the ground coffee firmly and evenly using the provided tamper.
Brewing Espresso (Temp IQ Shot Control)
The Temp IQ Shot Control system ensures precise temperature and even extraction for consistent, rich espresso.

- Insert the portafilter with tamped coffee into the group head and lock it into place.
- Place one or two espresso cups under the portafilter spouts.
- Choose your desired shot volume:
- Press the 1-cup button for a single shot.
- Press the 2-cup button for a double shot.
- For manual control, press and hold the Manual Shot button to start extraction, and press again to stop.
- The machine will automatically stop brewing for pre-set volumes.

Milk Frothing (Steam Wand)
The cool-touch steam wand produces velvety microfoam milk, ideal for lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites.

- Fill the stainless steel milk jug with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Turn the steam dial to the steam position. Wait for the steam indicator light to become solid.
- Insert the steam wand into the milk, just below the surface.
- Turn the steam dial to activate steam.
- Angle the jug slightly to create a vortex, incorporating air for microfoam.
- Once the milk reaches desired temperature and texture, turn off the steam dial and remove the jug.
- Wipe the steam wand immediately with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your espresso machine.
Daily Cleaning
- Group Head: After each use, remove the portafilter and run a short shot of water through the group head to rinse away residual coffee grounds.
- Portafilter & Filter Baskets: Rinse under hot water immediately after use. Use the grind cleaning brush to remove any stuck coffee.
- Steam Wand: Always wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth immediately after frothing milk. Purge a small amount of steam to clear any internal milk residue.
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray daily.
Weekly Cleaning
- Bean Hopper & Grinder: Remove any remaining beans. Use the grind cleaning brush to clean the burrs and chute. Periodically, the burrs may need to be removed for a deeper clean.
- Water Tank: Rinse the water tank with fresh water and wipe dry.
Descaling
Descaling is essential to remove mineral buildup and maintain heating efficiency. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the group head and steam wand.
- Run the descaling solution through the machine by activating the brew function and steam function until the tank is empty.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and refill with fresh water.
- Run several full tanks of fresh water through the machine to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
Refer to the cleaning pin and disc for specific portafilter cleaning procedures.
6. Troubleshooting
