3. Setup

Your Hootie Personal Safety Alarm comes with batteries pre-installed and is ready for immediate use. No complex setup is required.

Attaching the Carabiner:

  1. Locate the included carabiner clip.
  2. Attach the carabiner to the loop at the top of the Hootie alarm.
  3. Secure the alarm to your keychain, purse, backpack, or belt loop for easy access.

4. Operating Instructions

Activating the Alarm:

  1. In an emergency, firmly pull the top pin away from the main body of the alarm.
  2. The 130dB siren will immediately sound, and the high-intensity strobe light will begin flashing.
  3. The alarm will continue to sound for approximately 30-40 minutes or until the pin is reinserted.

Deactivating the Alarm:

  • To stop the alarm, simply reinsert the pulled pin firmly back into the device.

5. Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

The Hootie Personal Safety Alarm uses 2 CR2 Lithium batteries. These batteries are designed to last up to one year under normal use. To replace the batteries:
