1. Important Safety Instructions
Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before operating the generator. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate generators outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in enclosed spaces.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in approved containers.
- Electric Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Do not connect the generator directly to a building's electrical system without a transfer switch installed by a qualified electrician.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator, especially during operation.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the generator to prevent overheating.
- Overload Protection: Do not overload the generator. The unit is equipped with an overload circuit breaker.
- Low Oil Shutdown: The generator is equipped with a low oil safety feature that will shut down the engine if oil levels are too low. Always check oil levels before starting.

3. Setup and First Use
Before starting the generator for the first time, follow these steps carefully.
- Unpacking: Remove the generator from its packaging and inspect for any shipping damage. Ensure all components are present.
- Placement: Place the generator on a firm, level surface outdoors in a well-ventilated area, away from combustible materials and at least 1 meter (3 feet) from any buildings or other equipment.
- Add Engine Oil:
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Unscrew and remove the dipstick.
- Carefully add the recommended engine oil (refer to the full manual for oil type and capacity) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the dipstick.
- Add Fuel (Gasoline):
- Ensure the engine is off and cool.
- Open the fuel tank cap.
- Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane) up to the indicated fill level. Do not overfill. The tank capacity is 4.0 liters.
- Securely close the fuel tank cap. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to safely start and operate your Einhell TC-IG 2000 generator.
4.1 Starting the Engine
- Check Oil and Fuel: Verify that the engine oil and fuel levels are adequate.
- Turn Fuel Valve ON: Locate the fuel valve and turn it to the "ON" position.
- Set Choke: If starting a cold engine, move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position. For a warm engine, set it to "RUN".
- Set Engine Switch: Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
- Pull Starter Cord: Grasp the starter handle firmly and pull the cord slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and smoothly. Repeat until the engine starts.
- Adjust Choke: Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
4.2 Connecting Electrical Devices
The generator provides two 230V AC outlets and two USB ports.
- Ensure the generator is running stably before connecting devices.
- Plug your 230V devices into the AC sockets.
- Plug your USB devices into the 5V 2.1A USB ports for charging.
- Do not exceed the generator's rated continuous power of 1800 W. The maximum power is 2000 W for short periods.

Figure 6: The generator features two 230V AC sockets, providing 1800W continuous power and 2000W maximum power.

Figure 7: The USB ports provide a 5V 2.1A output for charging compatible devices.
4.3 Stopping the Engine
- Disconnect Devices: Unplug all electrical devices from the generator.
- Turn Engine Switch OFF: Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn Fuel Valve OFF: Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
