Einhell Generator TC-IG 2000 Instruction Manual

Model: TC-IG 2000

1. Important Safety Instructions

Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before operating the generator. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or death.

  • Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate generators outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in enclosed spaces.
  • Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in approved containers.
  • Electric Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Do not connect the generator directly to a building's electrical system without a transfer switch installed by a qualified electrician.
  • Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator, especially during operation.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the generator to prevent overheating.
  • Overload Protection: Do not overload the generator. The unit is equipped with an overload circuit breaker.
  • Low Oil Shutdown: The generator is equipped with a low oil safety feature that will shut down the engine if oil levels are too low. Always check oil levels before starting.
