• Operating Environment: Operate the pocket bike only in safe, open areas away from traffic, pedestrians, and obstacles. Avoid wet, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Fuel Handling: Gasoline is highly flammable. Handle fuel in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames or sparks. Turn off the engine before refueling.
• Pre-Ride Inspection: Before each ride, check tire pressure, brake function, chain tension, and ensure all nuts and bolts are secure.
• No Passengers: This pocket bike is designed for a single rider only. Do not carry passengers.
• Engine Heat: The engine and exhaust system become very hot during operation and can cause burns. Avoid contact with these parts.

Setup and Initial Assembly

Your MotoTec Phantom pocket bike requires some assembly before its first use. A basic tool kit is typically included.

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
2. Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebars to the steering column. Ensure they are centered and tightened securely. The handlebars are angle adjustable.
3. Wheel and Fender Attachment: If not pre-assembled, attach the front wheel and fender. Ensure all fasteners are tightened to manufacturer specifications.
4. Fluid Checks:
   • Fuel Mixture: This is a 2-stroke engine. It requires a specific mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-stroke oil. The manufacturer recommends a 32:1 fuel/oil ratio. Mix the fuel and oil thoroughly in a separate container before adding to the fuel tank.
   • Brake Fluid: Check brake fluid levels if applicable (for hydraulic systems) or ensure mechanical brakes are properly adjusted.
5. Tire Pressure: Inflate tires to the recommended pressure, typically found on the tire sidewall.
6. General Inspection: Before the first ride, double-check all nuts, bolts, and fasteners for tightness. Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Engine

1. Fuel Tank: Ensure the fuel tank contains the correct 32:1 gasoline/2-stroke oil mixture. The tank capacity is 1.25 liters.
2. Fuel Valve: Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
3. Choke: Locate the choke lever on the carburetor. For a cold engine, move the choke lever to the "ON" or "CLOSED" position.
4. Prime: Locate the primer bulb on the carburetor. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the fuel lines and the bulb feels firm.
5. Pull Start: With the choke on, pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly 2-3 times.
6. Choke Off: Once the engine attempts to start or fires, immediately move the choke lever to the "OFF" or "OPEN" position.
7. Final Start: Pull the starter cord again with the choke off and the throttle slightly open until the engine starts. Do not pull with the choke on after the initial attempts, as this can flood the engine.
8. Warm-up: Allow the engine to warm up for a minute or two before riding.

Riding the Pocket Bike

• Throttle Control: The pocket bike features a variable twist-grip throttle. Twist the grip gently to accelerate.
• Braking: The bike is equipped with front and rear disk brakes. Apply both brakes smoothly and evenly to slow down or stop. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, to prevent loss of control.
• Steering: Use the handlebars to steer. Lean into turns for better control.
• Stopping the Engine: To stop the engine, locate the kill switch (usually on the handlebars) and press it. Alternatively, turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position and allow the engine to run out of fuel.

Maintenance
