Setup and Installation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement:
    • Place the unit on a firm, level surface that can support its weight when the water bucket is full.
    • Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of air space on all sides of the unit for proper air circulation. Do not place it against a wall or furniture that would obstruct airflow.
    • Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, such as radiators or ovens, or in direct sunlight.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
  4. Initial Operation: Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 30 minutes before plugging it in if it was transported on its side. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

  1. Grasp the sides of the bucket and carefully pull it out from the unit.
  2. Pour the collected water into a sink or drain.

Continuous Drainage (Optional):

For continuous operation without emptying the bucket, you can connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.

Cleaning the Air Filter:

The "Filter" indicator light will illuminate after approximately 250 hours of operation, reminding you to clean the filter. A clean filter ensures efficient operation and better air quality.

  1. Unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use a dishwasher.
  4. Once the filter is reinstalled, plug in the unit and press the "Filter" button to reset the indicator.
