4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the ball head with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish.
  • Lubrication: The ball joint is designed for smooth operation. Avoid applying lubricants unless specifically instructed by the manufacturer, as this could attract dust and debris.
  • Storage: Store the ball head in a dry, clean environment away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and knobs to ensure they are tight and secure. If any part appears damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not holding position: Ensure all locking knobs (main PTZ lock and quick release plate clamp) are fully tightened. Check that the quick release plate is securely attached to your camera.
  • Difficulty rotating ball head: Loosen the PTZ lock knob sufficiently. If rotation is still stiff, ensure no debris is obstructing the ball joint.
  • Accessory not fitting cold shoe: Verify that your accessory has a standard cold shoe mount. Ensure the cold shoe clamp is properly opened before inserting the accessory.
