Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Eagle EELEC-WR01 Digital Alarm Clock Radio. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and longevity.

The alarm clock features six natural sounds for a pleasant wake-up experience. Begin your day calmly with these soothing sounds. In addition to these six sounds, you can also wake up to your favorite radio station. Two alarms can be set and stored by the radio alarm clock for short or long-term use. This allows for quick alarm setting with a single button press before sleep.

The digital alarm clock features a high-quality, dimmable 3.2-inch LCD screen. This screen can be dimmed in 5 different levels, from very dark to very bright. This allows the display to be brighter during the day for readability and dimmed at night to prevent disturbance, significantly contributing to a better night's rest while still allowing the time to be read.

The alarm clock radio is user-friendly with intuitive controls. You can easily store up to 60 FM radio stations, set two alarms, and connect two devices via USB for charging. The charging ports are powerful enough to supply power to any phone or tablet. The alarm clock can be connected to the mains power with a USB cable, but also has the option to operate on three AAA batteries in case of a power outage, ensuring a functional alarm clock at all times.

Setup

1. Power Connection

• USB Power: Connect the provided USB cable to the 5V power input port on the back of the alarm clock and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
• Battery Backup: For power outage protection, insert three (3) AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-). Batteries will maintain time and alarm settings during a power interruption but will not power the display or USB charging ports.

2. Initial Time Setting

Upon first power-up or after a complete power loss without battery backup, the display will flash. Refer to the 'Operating' section for detailed instructions on setting the time.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Time

1. Press and hold the TIME SET button (refer to the labeled diagram in the Setup section). The hour digits will begin to flash.
2. Rotate the large SNOOZE/ROTARY knob to adjust the hour. Press the TIME SET button again to confirm the hour and move to minute adjustment.
3. Rotate the SNOOZE/ROTARY knob to adjust the minutes. Press the TIME SET button one more time to confirm and exit time setting mode.
4. To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour format, locate the 12U/24U mode switch on the side/back of the unit and slide it to your preferred setting.

2. Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

The device supports two independent alarms.

1. Press and hold either the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
2. Rotate the SNOOZE/ROTARY knob to set the desired alarm hour. Press the corresponding alarm button (ALARM 1 or ALARM 2) again to confirm the hour and move to minute adjustment.
3. Rotate the SNOOZE/ROTARY knob to set the desired alarm minutes. Press the alarm button again to confirm minutes.
4. Next, select the alarm sound source: Rotate the SNOOZE/ROTARY knob to choose between FM radio or one of the 6 built-in natural sounds. Press the alarm button to confirm.
5. Finally, set the alarm volume using the SNOOZE/ROTARY knob. Press the alarm button one last time to save the alarm settings and activate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display.
6. To deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button once. The alarm icon will disappear.

3. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/ROTARY knob to temporarily silence the alarm for 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period. To turn off the alarm completely, press any other button.

4. FM Radio Operation

1. Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn the FM radio on or off.
2. To automatically scan and save FM stations, press and hold the RADIO ON/OFF button. The radio will scan for available stations and store them automatically (up to 60 stations).
3. To manually tune or select a saved station, rotate the SNOOZE/ROTARY knob.
4. Adjust the radio volume using the VOLUME REGULATOR knob on the side of the unit.

5. Display Dimming

The 3.2-inch LCD display has 5 dimming levels.

• Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through the 5 brightness levels (Dimmed, Low, Medium, High, Max).
• Select the desired brightness for optimal visibility during the day and minimal disturbance at night.

6. Natural Wake-Up Sounds

The alarm clock includes 6 built-in natural sounds that can be selected as an alarm tone.

• When setting an alarm, rotate the SNOOZE/ROTARY knob to cycle through the available sounds: Singing Birds, Standard Beep & Alarm, Canon in D, Babbling Brook, Delightful Piano Music, Soothing Music.
• Select your preferred sound and confirm with the alarm button.

7. USB Charging Ports

The alarm clock is equipped with two USB charging ports (USB 1A) on the side. These ports are designed to charge mobile phones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices.

• Connect your device's USB charging cable to one of the USB ports on the alarm clock.
• Ensure the alarm clock is connected to mains power for the USB charging ports to function.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the alarm clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish and internal components.

Battery Replacement

If using AAA batteries for backup, replace them annually or when the battery low indicator appears (if applicable) to ensure continuous backup functionality. Always replace all three batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.

Troubleshooting

• No Display/Power: Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected to a working power source. If using battery backup, check if the batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted.
• Alarm Not Sounding: Verify that the alarm is activated (alarm icon visible on display). Check the alarm time and ensure it is set correctly. Confirm the alarm volume is not set to zero.
• Radio Static/Poor Reception: Extend the FM antenna fully. Try repositioning the alarm clock to improve reception. Ensure no other electronic devices are causing interference nearby.
• USB Charging Not Working: Confirm the alarm clock is connected to mains power. Ensure the USB cable for your device is functional and properly connected.
• Display Too Bright/Dim: Use the SLEEP button to adjust the display brightness through its 5 levels.
