3. Setup

3.1 Inserting the SIM Card and Battery

Your Alcatel 3080G uses a Micro SIM card. Follow these steps to insert your SIM card and battery:

1. Remove the back cover: Gently pry open the back cover from the notch located at the bottom of the phone.
2. Insert the SIM card: Locate the SIM card slot. Insert your Micro SIM card with the gold contacts facing down and the cut corner aligned with the slot. Push it in until it clicks into place.
3. Insert the battery: Align the battery's gold contacts with the terminals in the phone's battery compartment. Gently press the battery down until it fits securely.
4. Replace the back cover: Place the back cover over the phone and press along the edges until it clicks securely into place.

3.2 Charging the Battery

1. Connect the Micro USB end of the charger cable to the phone's charging port (located at the bottom).
2. Plug the other end of the charger into a power outlet.

• To Make a Call: From the idle screen, enter the phone number using the keypad and press the Call key.
• To Answer a Call: When the phone rings, press the Call key.
• To End a Call: Press the End Call key.

4.4 Sending and Receiving SMS

• To Send an SMS: Go to Menu > Messages > Write message. Enter your message and the recipient's number, then select Send.
• To Read an SMS: When a new message arrives, a notification will appear. Select View or go to Menu > Messages > Inbox.
