  1. Connect Power: Plug the 180W power supply into the DC 20V input port on the rear of the docking station, then connect the power supply to a wall outlet.
  2. Connect to Laptop: Use the included 0.8 meter Intel Certified Thunderbolt 4 cable to connect your laptop's Thunderbolt 4 port to the Thunderbolt 4 Host Port on the front of the docking station.
  3. Connect Displays: Connect your external monitors to the Thunderbolt 4 downstream ports on the rear of the dock. You may need USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DisplayPort adapters/cables (not included) depending on your monitor's input.
  4. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB devices (keyboard, mouse, external drives), Ethernet cable, and audio devices to the corresponding ports on the dock.
  5. Power On: Press the power button on the front of the docking station.

Operating Instructions

Display Configuration:

The SD5700T supports various display configurations depending on your host device:

  • Thunderbolt 4 Devices (Windows): Supports single 8K @ 30 Hz, or up to dual 4K @ 60 Hz, single 4K @ 120Hz, or dual 1080P @ 120Hz video output.
  • Thunderbolt 3/4 MacBooks (macOS 11 or later):
    • Macs with M1, M2, or M3 base chipsets will only display to a single external monitor due to Apple’s chipset limitations.
    • Macs with M1/M2/M3/M4 Pro or Max, and M4 base CPUs will work with dual displays.
  • USB-C Alt-Mode Windows Laptops: Supports only a single 4K @ 60Hz external display. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a Thunderbolt laptop with a Thunderbolt dock.
