6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will help preserve the appearance and performance of your FORNO Galiano range.

6.1 Cooktop Cleaning

  • Cast Iron Grates: Allow grates to cool completely. Remove them and wash with warm, soapy water. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive scrubber. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
  • Burner Caps and Heads: Remove and clean with warm, soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling.
  • Enamel Surface: Wipe with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the surface.

6.2 Oven Cleaning

  • Oven Interior: For light spills, wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent once the oven has cooled. For heavier soil, use an oven cleaner specifically designed for enameled surfaces, following the product instructions.
  • Glass Layers: Clean the interior and exterior glass with a glass cleaner or warm, soapy water.
  • Oven Racks: Remove racks and wash with warm, soapy water. For baked-on residue, soak in hot soapy water before scrubbing.

6.3 Stainless Steel Surfaces

Wipe stainless steel surfaces with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner or mild soapy water. Always wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent streaking. While the range is made of 304-grade stainless steel, it is not entirely smudge-proof and may require frequent wiping to maintain its appearance.
