- Handling: Avoid dropping the unit or subjecting it to strong impacts.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your RC-500, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Unit does not power on. | Check battery installation and charge. Ensure AC adapter (if used) is properly connected and functional. The RC-500 consumes batteries quickly; an AC adapter is recommended for extended use. |
| No sound output. | Verify all cables are securely connected. Check input and output levels on the RC-500 and connected devices. Ensure the correct input source is selected. |
| Microphone input not working (e.g., hissing noise). | Ensure phantom power is correctly enabled for condenser microphones via the unit's menu. Check microphone cable and microphone functionality. |
| Loops sound distorted or too quiet. | Adjust input levels to prevent clipping (distortion) or ensure sufficient signal strength (too quiet). Use the track faders to balance loop volumes. |
| Rhythm not playing. | Ensure the RHYTHM ON/OFF button is engaged. Check rhythm volume settings in the menu. |
