Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.

  • ETL Approved: This heater is ETL approved for both the US and Canada, ensuring it meets recognized safety standards.
  • Overheat Protection: The heater is equipped with an automatic overheat protection system that will shut off the unit if it becomes too hot. If this occurs, unplug the heater, wait 10 minutes for it to cool, and then plug it back in.
  • Safety Tip-Over Switch: A safety tip-over switch automatically turns the heater off if it is accidentally knocked over. Ensure the heater is placed on a firm, level surface for proper operation.
  • Stay Cool Housing: The exterior housing is designed to remain cool to the touch during operation, reducing the risk of burns.
  • Placement: Always place the heater on a stable, level surface. Do not use on soft surfaces like beds or rugs where openings may become blocked.
  • Clearance: Maintain a minimum distance of 3 feet (0.9 meters) from combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains.
  • Power Cord: Do not run the power cord under carpeting or cover it with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas where it will not be tripped over.
  • Moisture: Do not use the heater in wet or moist locations, such as bathrooms or laundry areas.
  • Supervision: Close supervision is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids.
  • Unplug When Not in Use: Always unplug the heater when not in use.

Components

  • Heater Unit: The main body of the CZ35E space heater.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater from any walls, furniture, or other objects. Do not block air intake or exhaust vents.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet. Avoid using extension cords or power strips, as they may overheat and create a fire hazard.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Ensure the heater is plugged into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Select Mode: Turn the Mode Selector Knob (right knob) to your desired setting:
    • Fan Only (☰): Circulates air without heat.
    • Low Heat (I): Provides 600W of heat.
    • Energy Save (II): Provides 865W of heat, designed for energy efficiency.
    • High Heat (III): Provides 1500W of heat for maximum warmth.
    The power indicator light will illuminate when a heat setting is selected.
  3. Adjust Thermostat: Turn the Thermostat Control Knob (left knob) clockwise to increase the desired temperature (MAX) or counter-clockwise to decrease it (MIN). The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature. For continuous heating, turn the thermostat to the MAX setting.
  4. Power Off: To turn off the heater, first turn the Thermostat Control Knob to the MIN position, then turn the Mode Selector Knob to the "O" (OFF) position. Unplug the heater from the wall outlet when not in use.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Always unplug the heater before cleaning. Allow the heater to cool completely before handling.

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Air Vents: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and lint from the air intake and exhaust vents. Ensure vents are clear of obstructions.
  • Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the heater in water or any other liquid.

Storage

When storing the heater, keep it in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

Troubleshooting

  • A slight odor is normal during initial use and will dissipate.
  • Unplug and clean the heater, especially the vents, to remove dust.
