4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the air fryer and all packaging materials. Keep packaging for future storage or disposal.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Remove the cooking basket and crisper plate, wash them with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to allow for proper air circulation. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of clear space around the back and sides of the unit.
  4. Power Connection: Unwind the power cord from its storage at the back of the unit and plug it into a grounded wall outlet.
  5. Pre-heating (Optional): For the first use, it is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10-15 minutes at 200°C (400°F) to eliminate any manufacturing odors. A slight odor or smoke may be present, which is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. General Operation

  1. Place the crisper plate inside the cooking basket.
  2. Place your ingredients into the cooking basket. Do not overfill the basket to ensure even cooking.
  3. Slide the cooking basket back into the main unit until it clicks into place.
  4. Plug the air fryer into a power outlet. The LED display will illuminate.
  5. Select your desired cooking method: manual setting or automatic program.

5.2. Manual Settings

The temperature can be set from 40°C to 200°C, and the timer up to 60 minutes.

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the display.
  2. Use the temperature control buttons (+ / -) to adjust the temperature.
  3. Use the time control buttons (+ / -) to adjust the cooking time.
  4. Press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking. The air fryer will automatically turn off when the timer expires.

The Brabantia HaloAir Airfryer features 6 automatic programs with pre-set times and temperatures for common dishes:

To use an automatic program:

  1. Press the Power button.
  2. Press the Program Selection button (often represented by a chef's hat or menu icon) repeatedly to cycle through the available programs. The display will show the pre-set time and temperature for each program.
  3. Once the desired program is selected, press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking.
  4. You can manually adjust the time and temperature of a pre-set program even after selecting it, before pressing start.

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air fryer.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Cooking Basket and Crisper Plate:
    • The cooking basket and crisper plate have a non-stick coating, making them easy to clean.
    • Wash them with warm water, a mild dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
    • For stubborn residue, soak the basket and plate in warm soapy water for about 10-15 minutes before cleaning.
    • Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling or storing.
    • Note: The cooking basket and crisper plate are not dishwasher safe.

  3. Main Unit:
    • Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a damp cloth.
    • Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
    • Clean the interior of the appliance with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
    • Ensure no water enters the air outlet vent or power cord storage area.
  4. Storage: Ensure the air fryer is clean and dry before storing. Store it in a cool, dry place. You can use the integrated power cord storage for neatness.
