Control Functions:

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Gemini Sound MM1BT mixer.

  1. Power Connection: Connect the included 12V DC power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear panel of the mixer. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet. The Power Indicator LED on the top panel will illuminate.
  2. Connecting Audio Sources (Inputs): Use RCA cables to connect your audio sources (e.g., turntables, CD players, media players) to the INPUT A and INPUT B RCA jacks on the rear panel. Ensure left and right channels are correctly matched (red for right, white for left).
  3. Connecting Output Devices (Outputs): Use RCA cables to connect the MASTER OUTPUT jacks to your amplifier, powered speakers, or recording device. The RECORD OUTPUT can be used to send a separate signal to a recording device.
  4. Connecting Microphone: Plug a 1/4-inch microphone into the MICROPHONE 1/4" INPUT jack on the front panel.
  5. Connecting Headphones: Plug 1/4-inch headphones into the HEADPHONE 1/4" INPUT jack on the front panel for monitoring.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on, ensure all connections are secure, then plug in the power adapter. The Power Indicator LED will light up.
  • To power off, unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet.

4.2 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Press the Bluetooth Input button on the top panel. The Bluetooth LED will flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), navigate to its Bluetooth settings.
  3. Select "MM1BT" from the list of available devices to pair.
  4. Once successfully paired, the Bluetooth LED on the mixer will stop flashing and remain solid.
  5. Adjust the Bluetooth Volume Control to set the desired level for the wireless audio.

4.3 Input Selection and Gain Control

  • Ensure your audio sources are playing.
  • Use the Gain Control knobs for Channel A and Channel B to adjust the input level for each connected source. Start with the gain at minimum and slowly increase it until the audio is clear and strong without distortion.

4.4 Equalization (EQ)

  • Each channel (A and B) has dedicated Treble EQ Control and Bass EQ Control knobs.
  • Rotate these knobs to boost or cut the high and low frequencies of the respective channel's audio.

4.5 Crossfader

  • The Crossfader allows you to smoothly transition between Channel A and Channel B.
  • Sliding the crossfader completely to the left will output only Channel A.
  • Sliding it completely to the right will output only Channel B.
  • Positioning it in the center will blend both channels.

4.6 Microphone Usage

  • After connecting your microphone, use the Mic Volume Control knob to adjust its output level.

4.7 Headphone Monitoring

  • Connect your headphones to the 1/4" Headphone Input.
  • Adjust the Headphone Volume Control knob to set a comfortable monitoring level.

4.8 Master Output

  • The Master Volume Control knob adjusts the overall output level sent to your main speakers or amplifier.
  • Always start with the master volume at a low setting and gradually increase it to prevent sudden loud sounds.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your MM1BT mixer.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the mixer. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
