1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your GENERAL TRADE GNR12067 L.DICTROLUX 600W Portable Vacuum Cleaner. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the appliance and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using an electrical appliance:
- Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating indicated on the vacuum cleaner.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.

3. Package Contents

4. Product Overview (Components)
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your vacuum cleaner:
- Main Unit: Contains the motor, handle, and power switch.
- Dust Collection Chamber: Transparent container for collecting dust and debris.
- Filter System: Consists of a pre-filter and a HEPA filter, located inside the dust chamber.
- Hose Connection Port: Located at the front of the main unit for attaching the flexible hose.

5. Setup
- Unpack: Remove all components from the packaging.
- Filter Installation: Ensure the pre-filter and HEPA filter are correctly seated within the dust collection chamber. Refer to Figure 4.1 for proper assembly.
- Attach Hose: Insert the flexible hose firmly into the hose connection port on the front of the main unit.
- Select Attachment: Choose the appropriate nozzle or brush for your cleaning task and attach it to the end of the flexible hose. For example, use the crevice tool for narrow spaces or the brush tool for upholstery.
- Shoulder Strap (Optional): If desired, attach the shoulder strap to the designated points on the main unit for easier portability during use.
6. Operation
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Power On: Locate the power switch on the handle of the main unit and slide it to the "ON" position. The vacuum cleaner will start.
- Vacuuming: Guide the attached nozzle over the surface you wish to clean. The 600W motor provides strong suction for various tasks.
- Blower Function: This model also features a blower function. To use it, detach the flexible hose from the front suction port and attach it to the exhaust port (usually located at the rear or side of the main unit). Turn on the vacuum to activate the blower.
- Power Off: When finished, slide the power switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance from the outlet.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.
7.1. Emptying the Dust Collection Chamber
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged.
- Detach the dust collection chamber from the main unit.
- Carefully open the chamber and empty its contents into a waste bin.
- Wipe the inside of the chamber with a damp cloth if necessary.
7.2. Cleaning the Filters
The filters should be cleaned regularly, especially when suction power decreases.
- With the dust chamber detached, remove the pre-filter and HEPA filter.
- Tap the filters gently to dislodge loose dust.
- If heavily soiled, rinse the filters under cool running water. Do not use detergents.
- Allow filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting them. Do not use the vacuum cleaner with wet filters.
7.3. Storage
Store the vacuum cleaner and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
