Introduction

The Hasbro Guess Who? board game is a classic two-player deduction game designed for ages 6 and up. The objective is to be the first player to correctly guess your opponent's mystery character by asking strategic yes-or-no questions. Components

Before starting, ensure all components are present. The game includes:

• 2 Game Boards (one blue, one red)
• 48 Face Cards (for the game boards)
• 24 Mystery Cards (for selecting your secret character)
• 10 Score Pins
• Instruction Guide (this document)

Setup

1. Prepare Face Cards: Carefully remove all 48 face cards from their sheets. Discard the empty card sheets.
2. Insert Face Cards into Boards: Insert the blue face cards into the blue game board and the red face cards into the red game board. The order and position of the characters do not matter, as long as all slots are filled. Ensure the cards are securely in place and can be flipped up and down.

3. Player Setup: Each player selects a game board. Position the board so the doors face upwards and the score pin holes and mystery card stand are facing you. Open all the character doors on your board.

4. Mystery Cards: Shuffle the 24 mystery cards. Each player draws one card from the top of the shuffled deck and places it into the mystery card stand on their game board, facing towards themselves so the opponent cannot see it. This is your secret character. Place the remaining mystery cards aside; they will not be used until a new game begins.
5. Score Pins: Take 5 score pins and keep them near your game board.

Operating (How to Play)

The youngest player goes first. Players take turns asking questions.

Your Turn

1. Ask a Question: Ask your opponent a yes-or-no question about their mystery character. For example, "Does your character wear glasses?" Your opponent must answer truthfully with "Yes" or "No."
2. Eliminate Characters: Based on your opponent's answer, flip down the face cards on your game board that do not match the description. For instance, if your opponent says "Yes, my character wears glasses," you would flip down all characters on your board that do not wear glasses. If they say "No," you flip down all characters that do wear glasses.

3. Next Player's Turn: After you have eliminated characters, it is your opponent's turn to ask a question.

Guessing the Mystery Character

When you believe you know your opponent's mystery character, you can make a guess instead of asking a question during your turn. You must state the name of the character.

• Correct Guess: If your guess is correct, you win the game!
• Incorrect Guess: If your guess is incorrect, your opponent wins the game. You can only make one guess per game.

Advanced Play (Optional Rule)

For a more challenging game, players can agree to an advanced rule: questions about the gender of the mystery character (e.g., "Is your character a boy?" or "Is your character a girl?") cannot be asked until the third turn of the game.

Winning the Game

The first player to correctly identify their opponent's mystery character wins. If you make an incorrect guess, your opponent automatically wins.

Championship Series (Optional)

To play a series of games, use the score pins. For each game won, a player inserts a score pin into one of the holes on their game board. The first player to win 5 games becomes the "Guess Who?" champion!
