5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions

Clean the sponge until most of the trapped debris is removed, but avoid excessive cleaning that might remove all beneficial bacteria.
4. Clean Impeller: Periodically, remove the impeller cover and clean the impeller and its shaft. Hair, debris, or mineral buildup can impede its function.
5. Reassemble: Reassemble the filter components, ensuring all parts are correctly seated.
6. Reinstall: Place the filter back into the aquarium, ensuring it is fully submerged, and then plug it back in.

Frequency: Clean the filter sponge every 2-4 weeks, or more frequently if water flow significantly decreases or the aquarium appears cloudy.
