Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner. Always unplug the appliance before performing any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Dust Tank:
    • The vacuum cleaner features a large capacity dust tank, reducing the frequency of emptying.
    • To empty, press the release button on the main motor unit to detach the dust tank.
    • Position the dust tank over a waste bin and open the bottom flap to release collected debris.
    • Reattach the dust tank to the main motor unit, ensuring it clicks securely.
  2. Cleaning the Filters:

The BXVMS600E features a 3-phase filtration system including a micro-perforated stainless steel pre-filter and an EPA filter. Regular cleaning of these filters is crucial to maintain suction power and prevent motor overheating.

    • Detach the dust tank from the main unit.
    • Remove the pre-filter and EPA filter from inside the dust tank.
    • Both filters are removable and washable. Tap off loose dirt over a bin.
    • Rinse the filters under cool running water until the water runs clear.
    • Allow the filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting them into the dust tank. Do not use heat to dry.
    • Reassemble the filters and dust tank, then reattach to the vacuum cleaner.
