Setup

1. Placement

Place the PD-301-X on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Its compact size allows for placement on small desktops or shelves.

2. Connecting Power

  1. Ensure the unit's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the supplied power cable to the DC IN 12V port on the rear panel of the PD-301-X.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable AC power outlet.

3. Audio Connections

The PD-301-X offers multiple output options:

  • Analog Output (LINE OUT): Use RCA cables to connect the L (white) and R (red) LINE OUT jacks on the PD-301-X to the corresponding analog input jacks on your amplifier or receiver.
  • Digital Outputs (COAXIAL, OPTICAL): For connecting to an external D/A converter or a digital input on your amplifier/receiver.
    • Connect a coaxial digital cable from the COAXIAL DIGITAL OUT jack to your external device's coaxial digital input.
    • Connect an optical digital cable from the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jack to your external device's optical digital input.

4. FM Antenna Connection

  1. Connect the supplied FM antenna to the FM 75Ω ANTENNA terminal on the rear panel.
  2. Extend the antenna for optimal reception.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press the POWER button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the unit on or off.

2. CD Playback

  1. Insert a CD (CD-DA, CD-ROM/R/RW) into the slot-loading mechanism on the front panel. The disc will be automatically drawn in.
  2. The unit will automatically begin playback if the automatic playback function is enabled. Otherwise, press the PLAY button.
  3. Use the SKIP buttons (|, >|) to navigate between tracks.
  4. Press PAUSE (||) to temporarily stop playback, and PLAY (>) to resume.
  5. Press STOP (■) to stop playback.
  6. To eject the disc, press the EJECT (▲) button.

3. USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive containing WAV, AAC, MP3, or WMA files into the USB-A port on the front panel.
  2. Press the SOURCE button to select USB input.
  3. Use the navigation buttons on the remote or front panel to browse folders and select files.
  4. The LC-display will show ID3 tag information (song title, artist name) for compatible files.

4. FM Tuner Operation

  1. Press the SOURCE button to select FM tuner mode.
  2. Use the tuning buttons on the remote or front panel to scan for FM stations.
  3. You can preset your favorite stations for quick access. Refer to the full manual for detailed instructions on presetting stations.
  4. FM broadcasts can be output via both analog and digital (coaxial/optical) connections.

5. Remote Control

The supplied remote control provides full functionality for the PD-301-X, including power, source selection, playback controls, track navigation, and FM tuning. Ensure fresh AAA batteries are installed correctly.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
