1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Laxre 4-in-1 Keyless Entry Smart Lock. This smart lock offers multiple access methods including fingerprint, numeric code, mechanical key, and Bluetooth via a smartphone application, enhancing security and convenience for your home or office.

2. Safety Information

• Read all instructions carefully before installation and use.
• Do not expose the lock to direct water spray or immerse it in liquid.
• Use only the specified AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
• Keep mechanical keys in a safe location outside the property.
• Avoid exposing the lock to extreme temperatures or humidity.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the lock yourself. Contact customer support for assistance.

4. Installation

The Laxre Smart Lock is designed for easy installation without the need for complex wiring or drilling, typically requiring only two screws to fasten. It is compatible with most standard doors, fitting both left and right-handed doors with a thickness range of 1.38 inches to 2 inches (35mm to 50mm).

4.1 Door Handing Adjustment

The lock can be adjusted for left or right-handed doors. Ensure the handle direction is correct before final installation.

4.2 Installation Steps

1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door meets the thickness requirements (1.38" to 2"). Use the provided template to check existing boreholes and backset.
2. Install the Latch Bolt: Insert the latch bolt into the door edge and secure it with screws. Ensure the latch is oriented correctly for your door's opening direction.
3. Install the Exterior Handle: Feed the cable from the exterior handle through the door hole. Align the exterior handle with the latch bolt and secure it.
4. Install the Interior Handle: Connect the cable from the exterior handle to the interior handle. Align the interior handle with the latch bolt and exterior handle, then secure it with the remaining screws.
5. Insert Batteries: Open the battery cover on the interior handle and insert the 4 AAA batteries.
6. Test the Lock: After installation, test all functions (mechanical key, keypad, fingerprint) to ensure proper operation before closing the door.

5. Setup and Initial Programming

The Laxre Smart Lock uses the TTLock app for advanced features and management.

5.1 App Download and Pairing

1. Download the TTLock App: Search for "TTLock" in your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Create an Account: Follow the in-app instructions to register a new account.
3. Add Your Lock:
   • Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
   • Open the TTLock app and tap "Add Lock".
   • Select "Door Lock" and follow the prompts to find and pair your LAX-LA01PB lock. You may need to touch the keypad or press a button on the lock to activate it for pairing.

5.2 Initial User Programming

Once paired, you can add your first fingerprint and user code via the app.

• Adding Fingerprints: In the app, navigate to "Fingerprints" and follow the instructions to register your fingerprint. You will typically need to place your finger on the sensor multiple times. The lock supports up to 100 fingerprints.
• Adding Passcodes: In the app, navigate to "Passcodes" to generate or set a custom numeric code. The lock supports up to 150 user codes.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Unlocking Methods

• Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock in approximately 0.5 seconds if recognized.
• Numeric Code: Enter your registered passcode on the keypad, followed by the '#' key.
• Mechanical Key: Insert the mechanical key into the keyhole located at the bottom of the exterior handle and turn to unlock. This is for emergency access or when batteries are depleted.
• Bluetooth App: Open the TTLock app, ensure you are within Bluetooth range, and tap the unlock icon.

6.2 Anti-Peep Passcode

To protect your passcode from being observed by others, you can enter random digits before or after your actual passcode. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer string of numbers.

6.3 Automatic Locking

The lock is designed to automatically lock after a set period once the door is closed. This feature can be configured within the TTLock app to ensure your door is always secured.

7. User Management

The TTLock app provides comprehensive tools for managing users and access permissions.

• Adding/Deleting Users: You can add or remove fingerprints and passcodes for various users directly through the app.
• Sharing eKeys: Grant temporary or permanent access to others by sending them an eKey via the app. This allows them to unlock the door using their own smartphone.
• Generating Passcodes: Create one-time, timed, or recurring passcodes for guests or service providers.
• Access Records: The app maintains a log of all lock and unlock events, including the method used (fingerprint, code, eKey) and the user.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Battery Replacement

The lock is powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries (included). Under normal usage, batteries can last up to 1 year. The lock will provide a low battery warning. Replace all four batteries simultaneously when indicated.

8.2 Cleaning

Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. Keep the fingerprint sensor clean for optimal performance.

9. Troubleshooting

• Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist. The sensor may have difficulty reading wet or sweaty fingers.
• Keypad unresponsive: Check battery levels. If batteries are low, replace them. Ensure the keypad is clean.
• Bluetooth connectivity issues: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and you are within close proximity (within 2 meters) of the lock. Try restarting the app or your phone's Bluetooth.
• Lock does not respond: If the lock is completely unresponsive, try replacing the batteries. If still unresponsive, use the mechanical key for access and contact customer support.
• Lock not suitable for outdoor exposure: This lock is not designed for direct exposure to rain or harsh weather conditions. Consider a storm door or protective cover if used in such environments.
