RORIOS AA-MO004

RORIOS Automatic Mechanical Watch User Manual

Model: AA-MO004

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the RORIOS Automatic Mechanical Watch. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your timepiece. This watch features an automatic self-winding mechanical movement, a 24-hour display, moon phase indicator, and luminous hands. Its design incorporates a hollow case, allowing visibility of the intricate internal mechanism.

The watch is constructed with a durable stainless steel case and is equipped with a comfortable stainless steel band. It is designed to be water-resistant up to 30 meters.

2. Setup

2.1 Initial Winding

As an automatic mechanical watch, it operates without a battery, powered by the motion of your wrist. For initial use or after the watch has stopped, manual winding is required to build up power reserve.

  1. Ensure the crown is in its normal, pushed-in position.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power for the watch to start running.
  3. Wear the watch regularly to maintain its power reserve through natural wrist movements. If worn daily for 8-10 hours, manual winding may not be frequently necessary.

2.2 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to the outermost position.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into its normal position to engage the movement.

3. Operating the Watch

3.1 Automatic Movement

The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. This means it winds itself through the natural motion of your arm. If the watch is not worn for an extended period (typically 24-48 hours), it may stop. In such cases, manually wind it as described in Section 2.1.

3.2 24-Hour Display and Moon Phase

The watch features a sub-dial that indicates the 24-hour cycle and a moon phase display. These functions operate in conjunction with the main timekeeping mechanism and do not require separate adjustment once the main time is set correctly.

3.3 Luminous Hands

The watch hands are treated with a luminous material, allowing for time readability in low-light conditions. Exposure to light will charge the luminous material, causing it to glow in the dark.

4. Maintenance and Care

4.1 Water Resistance

This watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for daily use and can withstand splashes, rain, or brief immersion in water, such as when washing hands. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, diving, or any activities involving prolonged water exposure or high-pressure water. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

4.2 Cleaning

To clean your watch, gently wipe the case and band with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel parts, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish or internal components.

4.3 Storage

When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. Magnetic fields can affect the accuracy of mechanical watches.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Watch is not running:

Ensure the watch is sufficiently wound. Manually wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise 30-40 times. If the watch still does not start, it may require professional inspection.

  • Time inaccuracy:

Mechanical watches can experience slight time deviations. Regular wearing helps maintain accuracy. If the deviation is significant (e.g., several minutes per day), avoid exposure to strong magnetic fields. If the issue persists, professional adjustment may be needed.

  • Water ingress:

If moisture appears inside the watch, immediately take it to a qualified watch repair professional. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself, as this can void the warranty and cause further damage.
