The Maxcio Power Meter is a versatile device designed to help you monitor and manage the electricity consumption of your household appliances. It provides real-time data on various electrical parameters, assists in calculating energy costs, and incorporates essential safety features.

2. Setup Guide

2.1 Initial Setup

  1. Insert the power meter into a standard 230V AC 50Hz wall socket.
  2. The LCD screen will illuminate, displaying initial readings.
  3. If the display is dim or unreadable, ensure the device is properly seated in the socket.

2.2 Setting Electricity Price (Dual Rate)

The device supports dual rate settings, allowing for more accurate calculation of electricity costs based on different time periods.

  1. Press the COST/- button repeatedly until "TARIFF 1" appears on the display.
  2. Press and hold the SET/OK button until "DUAL TARIFF" blinks.
  3. Press SET/OK again to enter "DUAL TARIFF" mode.
  4. To set the unit price for Tariff 1, press and hold ENERGY/+ or COST/- to adjust the value.
  5. Press and hold HISTORY to switch to the time setting for Tariff 1.
  6. Adjust the start monitoring time using ENERGY/+ or COST/-.
  7. To set Tariff 2, press SET/OK again and repeat the process from step 4.
  8. To exit setup, press and hold SET/OK.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Real-Time Monitoring

The Maxcio Power Meter provides real-time monitoring of various electrical parameters, allowing you to track your energy usage effectively.

  • Power (W): Instantaneous power consumption of the connected appliance.
  • Energy (kWh): Total accumulated energy consumption over time.
  • Current (A): Electrical current drawn by the appliance.
  • Voltage (V): Current line voltage.
  • Frequency (Hz): Power line frequency.
  • CO2 Emissions (kgCO2): Estimated carbon dioxide emissions based on energy consumption.
  • Power Factor: Efficiency of power usage.
  • Cost: Calculated electricity cost based on the set tariffs.

To cycle through different display modes (Voltage, Amperage, Wattage, etc.), repeatedly press the ENERGY/+ button.

3.2 Overload Warning

The device features an overload warning system to prevent damage to connected appliances and ensure electrical safety.

  • You can set a maximum power alarm threshold (do not exceed 3680W).
  • If the load connected to the socket exceeds this set value, the large LCD will flash "OVERLOAD" to warn the user.

3.3 Data Retention

The built-in battery ensures that the latest data is saved even if the meter is unplugged from the socket. This prevents data loss due to sudden power outages.

4. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and dry. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
  • The internal battery is designed for data retention and is not user-replaceable. Attempting to replace it may damage the device and void the warranty.
  • Only use the provided reset pins for the reset function. Do not use sharp objects that could damage the reset button.
