Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your docking station:
- Verify Laptop Compatibility: Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) for video output. Ports that only support data transfer or charging will not function with external displays.
- Connect to Laptop: Plug the USB-C cable from the docking station into your laptop's compatible USB-C port.
- Connect Power (Optional but Recommended): If your laptop requires charging via USB-C, connect your laptop's power adapter to the USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port on the docking station. This port is for charging only and does not transfer data.
- Connect External Displays:
- For HDMI displays, connect HDMI cables from your monitors to the HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 ports on the docking station.
- For VGA displays, connect a VGA cable from your monitor to the VGA port on the docking station.
- Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB devices (keyboard, mouse, external hard drives, etc.) into the available USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports.
- Connect Ethernet: For a wired network connection, plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port on the docking station.
- Connect Audio: If desired, connect headphones or speakers to the 3.5mm audio jack.
- System Configuration: Your operating system should automatically detect the connected devices. You may need to adjust display settings in your computer's system preferences for optimal multi-monitor setup.

Operating Instructions
Display Configuration (Windows)
Windows systems support both Mirror and Extend modes (MST and SST). For optimal performance, ensure your laptop's graphics driver is up to date.
- Single HDMI 1: Up to 4K@60Hz (with DP1.4 source).
- Dual Monitors (HDMI 1 + HDMI 2): Up to 4K@30Hz.
- Triple Monitors (HDMI 1 + HDMI 2 + VGA): Up to 1080P@60Hz.

Image Description: A visual guide demonstrating various display configurations for Windows laptops using the docking station. It shows extended mode with two monitors (HDMI 1 + HDMI 2 + PC), extended mode with three monitors (HDMI 1 + HDMI 2 + VGA + PC), and another extended mode with three monitors (HDMI 1 + HDMI 2 + VGA + PC).
Display Configuration (Mac OS)
Mac OS does not support triple display in extended mode. It supports Mirror Mode and Non-Mirror Mode (also known as Extend Mode where all external monitors show the same content, but different from the laptop screen).
- Mirror Mode: All connected displays (laptop and external) show the same content.
- Non-Mirror Mode (Extend Mode): External monitors display the same content, which is different from the laptop's display.

Image Description: A visual guide demonstrating display configurations for Mac OS laptops using the docking station. It illustrates mirror mode (HDMI 1 / HDMI 2 / VGA + Macbook) and extend mode (HDMI 1 + HDMI 2 + VGA + Macbook), showing that external monitors mirror each other but can extend from the laptop.

Image Description: A comparison chart showing triple display support. It indicates that Mac OS does not support triple display (marked with an 'X'), while Windows supports quadruple display (working separately when the source is DP1.4) and triple display (marked with a checkmark).
USB Ports
- USB 3.0 Ports (3x): Connect smartphones, tablets, external hard drives, and other high-speed peripherals for data transfer up to 5Gbps.
- USB 2.0 Ports (2x): Ideal for connecting keyboards, mice, and other low-bandwidth devices, with speeds up to 480Mbps.
- USB-C Data Transfer Port (1x): Connect additional USB-C devices for data transfer up to 5Gbps.
