Controls and Indicators:
- 1.2" Green LED Display: Shows time, alarm status, radio frequency, and other information.
- PM Indicator: Lights up when the time is PM.
- AL.1 / AL.2 Indicators: Light up when Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 is active.
- Buzzer / Radio Indicators: Show the selected alarm sound source.
- BT Indicator: Lights up when Bluetooth is connected.

5. Setup
5.1 Power Connection
- Connect the supplied AC/DC adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
- Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- The LED display will light up, indicating the unit is powered on.
Memory Backup: The unit features a memory backup function. In case of a power outage, your settings (time, alarms, radio presets) will be retained. This function requires backup batteries (not included) to be installed in the battery compartment (usually 2 x AAA batteries, check compartment for specific type).
5.2 FM Antenna
Extend the FM wire antenna located at the back of the unit for optimal FM radio reception. Adjust its position for the best signal.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Setting the Time
- Press and hold the TIME SET button (refer to Figure 2 for button location). The hour digits will flash.
- Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to adjust the hour and minute respectively.
- Press TIME SET again to confirm the time.
6.2 Setting Dual Alarms (AL.1 / AL.2)
The unit features two independent alarms.
- Press and hold the ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
- Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired alarm time.
- Press the corresponding ALARM SET button again to select the wake-up source: Buzzer or Radio. The respective indicator will light up.
- Press the ALARM SET button one more time to confirm and activate the alarm. The AL.1 or AL.2 indicator will appear on the display.
- To deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding ALARM SET button until the AL.1 or AL.2 indicator disappears from the display.
6.3 PLL FM Radio Operation
- Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn on the FM radio.
- Auto Scan: Press and hold the SCAN button to automatically scan and store available FM stations into presets.
- Manual Tuning: Use the TUNE +/- buttons to manually adjust the frequency.
- Recalling Presets: Use the PRESET +/- buttons to cycle through stored stations.
- Adjust volume using the VOLUME +/- buttons.
- Press RADIO ON/OFF again to turn off the radio.
6.4 Bluetooth Connectivity
- Press the MODE button until "BT" appears on the display and the BT indicator flashes. The unit is now in pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device, search for "HX-146CR" in the Bluetooth settings.
- Select "HX-146CR" to pair. Once connected, the BT indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.
- You can now play audio from your device through the alarm clock radio.
6.5 USB Charging
The unit features two USB ports for charging:
- 2.4A CHARGE Port: Provides faster charging for compatible devices like smartphones and tablets.
- 1A CHARGE/PLAYBACK Port: Provides standard charging for devices.
Simply connect your device's USB charging cable to the desired port on the front of the unit. Charging will begin automatically.

6.6 USB MP3 Playback
The 1A USB port also supports MP3 playback from a USB flash drive.
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the 1A CHARGE/PLAYBACK port.
- Press the MODE button until the unit switches to USB playback mode. The display may show track information.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, NEXT, and PREVIOUS buttons to control playback.
6.7 Sleep Timer
The sleep timer allows you to fall asleep to radio or Bluetooth audio, which will automatically turn off after a set duration.
- While the radio or Bluetooth is playing, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep timer durations (e.g., 120, 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
- The display will show the selected duration. The unit will automatically turn off after this time.
6.8 Snooze Function
When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.
6.9 Display Brightness
The display brightness can be adjusted. Press the DIMMER button (or similar, refer to button labels on your unit) repeatedly to cycle through different brightness levels.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
7.2 Battery Replacement (for Memory Backup)
If the time and settings are lost during a power outage, the backup batteries may need replacement. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit and replace the old batteries with new ones of the specified type (e.g., 2 x AAA batteries).
